I would do it because Jets' need alot of players & would then (as of now) being picking 3 of the best 40 players available. That would get them there NT, OLB, & OL. All could be possible day 1 starters & a big upgrade to the team. This is w/o even counting the F.A.'s there gonna sign.
If there's a player available that they covet.....such as 'McFadden' or somebody else they covet....MAYBE ???
Did you just reply to your own thread, answering your own question? Why do you even come to a forum? Fuck, just whip out notepad and go to town.
If it's ok with u Quack....I was giving my reason for doing it. The 1st part was just a question. Pay attention Quack.
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/valuechart.html this is what trades are based on, GMs don?t go away that much from that. If they Throw in their 2nd as well, i do it. I don?t think Dallas would do that, even if McFadden would be there. if your mind comes around with another trade, just look on the chart if it works, and you don?t have to make a thread, pretty simple, huh?
Agreed, Dallas isn't trading up for #6, DMC will be long gone. Also, the trade shorts the Jets about 200 points on the trade value chart.......Dallas would have to kick in their late rd 2 pick.
Screw the chart. I would take the trade. It would be better if we got a third rounder too, but to me 3 players in the 40 are better than two. In the last two years our second pick has fared better than our first anyhow.
Is this years draft as strong as a couple years ago though? If we have a chance at a freak like Jake Long, McFadden, or Chris Long..we stay.
I'd have to get another pick later on or next year. The Jets pick is valued at 1600 points. Dallas 22 and 30 are valued at 1400 points. A late third rounder would be short but for me, would get the job done. It would allow us to address depth in the offensive line or secondary. -X-
Dallas doesn't have enough ammo to trade up to # 6. I would rather trade down with a team in the 10-16 range.
sure they do, the question is, are they willing to give up their first 3 picks to get there? i don?t think they are.
You need a 3rd round pick or a player like James Marten thrown in to make that deal, but yes I would make it in a heartbeat.
Dallas would do the deal to have a shot at McFadden if he dropped. That's what a team that is loaded in the trenches can afford to do to keep up with the Patses.
Id definately stock pile some picks we need the talent of more players. I Say there two first rounders and a third rounder and give up the sixth overall.
Agree. I wouldnt make the trade until the last minute of draft day. Stand pat at #6, see if Chris Long or Jake Long are still on the board. If not & D-Mac is there at #6, I would wait for the Batphone to ring from the Cowboys. Their #22 and #30 in the 1st round & a minimum 3rd rounder. No 3rd rounder and the deal is off. That extra 3rd round pick could be Ezra Butler or Beau Bell.
