Rey Maualuga 6'3" 250lbs inside LB.... He played pretty good in the bowl game!!! Maybe we can pick him up somewhere in the draft... what do you think....

That guy is an absolute beast. True, word is he's going back but he is a monster and I would love him on my team.

    4th round?

If he comes out he's most likely a first rounder.

if he lasts that long i know nothing about football, imo he would be a steal with our 2nd rounder. This guy is nothing less than a Monster.

why try to convert a player into something when you can take a player that plays that position already and just build from there... because gholston can not play the like in a 3-4 he is to light..

Rey Maualuga is a MIDDLE linebacker, which isn't much of a need.

Shawn Merriman, DeMarcus Ware, Kamerion Wimbley, and Terrell Suggs were all defensive ends in college, and Gholston is as good a prospect as any of them, and he was originally recruited to play LB, I see no reason why he couldn't be a pass rushing OLB in the NFL.

Rey Maualuga isn't even that good, you just saw his bowl game so you're all over his nuts. If he came out he wouldn't even be the best middle linebacker in the draft.

thats good that he wouldnt be the best Lb that means we would have a chance at landing him in a later round

As a USC fan that has watched ALOT of him, I can tell you with much confidence that he would be a top 15 pick. If he stays and has another season like this he'll be a top 10 pick.

He could easily play OLB in the NFL as well. He sheds blockers extremely well, is fast AND has a non-stop motor, and he can get to the QB. Need I mention he hits harder than Rodney Harrison as well?

The guy is the best player on the best defense in NCAA and we're debating whether or not he's a first round pick?

Did you read my post at all? I said I would rather have Vernon Gholston because he would be a better fit, and that if James Laurinaitis came out he would probably go ahead of him, I never said he wasn't good and I never said he couldn't play outside linebacker, he's staying in school anyway so it doesn't matter.

"and we're debating whether or not he's a first round pick?"

Nobody said he wouldn't be a first round pick, I would love to know where you got that from.

Do you see where I MIGHT get the idea that you didn't think he was that good?
