it?s obvious that that time is not acurate, but how fast is he? His Stock dropped cuz he had a bad season, but it could skyrocket after the combine, when he?s maybe in the 4.5s or low 4.6s.

Gholston is a physical monster with tons of Power, but Groves seems like a more polished, better all-around guy. I?m definitly looking forward to the combine to see how those two compare.

Groves is the best pure pass rusher in this draft IMO, but he's not a better all around player than Gholston.

I think Groves is going to remind people why he was so nasty and highly rated at the combine.

The thing that'll knock him down is that he's strictly a pass rusher right now. He was dominating before dislocating his toes, but after he came back he had trouble handling OLB duties.

The last part is wrong in my opinion. I think you've got it backwards, Gholston is much more polished as opposed to Groves. Groves is terrible against the run and also sells out to rush the passer. Gholston plays with much better technique, where as Groves is just a physical specimen. With him at OLB our run defense would take a step back, which doesn't even seem possible because of Thomas and Hobson's poor play against the run this year.

ok, but then, why is he in the tweener corner? wouldn?t that make him a typical end?

Well cause he's lighter than usual and he's fluid as hell...he could definitely play end but he's an excellent DE/OLB prospect IMO.

I don't think he'd be a very productive 4-3 end either. I think he translates to a situational pass rusher in a 3-4 at the next level.

Guy has amazing abilities. 6'5 25O and runs a 4.43 ? thats krazy. If he's there in the second its a no brainer.

Very nervous about drafting Groves w/an early 1st round draft pick. I know about his dislocated toes this fall, but I just dont see S. Merriman & D. Ware explosive game speed like I have seen w/Vernon Gholston. I would definitely take Groves w/any 2nd round pick (some mocks have him going 2nd round) and I would consider taking him w/the 2nd pick of a 1st round if we traded down from our current 6th overall to pick up 2 later 1st rounders.

    You don't see explosiveness?

Go on Youtube and watch his sack against Kansas St. Power...speed...explosive...stays low...

He's a nasty player. Right now not high first round nasty, but I think he gets himself back in the first come combine.

I'm not completely sure, but I'd go Gholston right now definitely.

But Groves is going to be a steal for the Pats, Ravens or the 49ers. I think he reminds people why he was so highly ranked at the combine. He's very fluid athlete who plays with leverage and speed.

No chance the Ravens or Pats take him in the first round. 49ers late first is a little more realistic. I've got a weird feeling this guy is going to fall far when worked out i'm thinking mid second. Then again, he'll probably run a crazy 4.4 and shoot up draft boards.

Actually the 49ers late first doesn't sound like a bad place for him to go at all, genom.

I'm totally with DWare on Groves. Back before his injury he was an absolute force. I actually think that very low 4.5 range is well within his reach, based on his clear explosiveness on the field and his body type.
