No. The offense would be more about Martz and less about winning. Besides, this board would be calling for his head by October; there's absolutely no doubt.

I heard some grumbling during the year and some people voiced that it would be a nice switch. When I saw he was fired today I thought I would throw it out and get some peoples ideas on it.

All the reverses and motion and other trickery that worked for the Jets last season is not really Martz's specialty.

Then again, Shottenjunior seemed to lose sight of all that stuff this year (until the last game, for some reason). Martz, meanwhile, actually has the balls to the let his QB throw the ball downfield. I'd take him.

I don't like Shotty, but I don't want Martz. We would need a few more QB's to get through the season.

He's an arrogant, overblown asshole who thinks he's the greatest offensive mind of all time. Good god, no!

    Absolutely not!

I saw too many Lions games this year and what I saw was a ridiculous offensive philosophy.
You need not to have seen any of their 16 games this year. Just look at their game-by-game rushing stats.

There's a reason no one does the seven step drop anymore. Mike Martz has disgraced it. That's why. Not for pressure or pace reasons. It is because no one likes him.

We have great possession receivers and good running backs. Once we fix our offensive line we will have a good offense. Why would we throw that all away and remake our offense in a completely different mold?

The guy has some good notes on his resume, but just how much of that is to his credit? The Rams went downhill after he took over. He lost his 2nd HC job and now is fired from being an OC. I'll have to pass on this one. Schotty might not be the stud we thought him last season, but I think he's still better than picking up Martz.

Um NO. I remember the game a few seasons back where he was still the HC of ST Louis and they were up BIG heading into the half and that scumbag onsides kicked right after they scored. They recovered and really plastered us the rest of the game.

After the game he was asked 'why do that' and he said some crap about the Jets being a team that came back on a few teams and he didn't want to risk that happening. Whatever, he's a bag of dueche...

No....his offense is designed for indoor/warm weather. You cannot throw the ball 40 times in a 30 MPH wind.

With Marshall Faulk in his prime, Mike Martz was a mad scientist. Without Marshall Faulk in his prime, Mike Martz is just a bull-headed jackass.
