I know Rey mentioned about 6 weeks he was staying at USC. There were some rumors a couple of weeks ago that he may be reconsidering. After his play in the 1st half of the Rose Bowl, he should be a lock to declare. The risk of injury and the chances of him finishing his Senior season on a higher note than today, will be slim.

I'm not a draft expert, just someone who loves Football and loves to evaluate talent and I can tell you, IMO, Rey is going to be an OUTSTANDING NFL player.....it's a no brainer.

My guess if Rey Maualuga declares he's a top 10 pick come April.

Here's a link to Rey reconsidering entering the draft:

He has looked pretty amazing. I don't think he has done enough on the field however to warrant a top 10 pick. Definitley not a #6.

We'll see...............I'm telling you his stock is going to rise, but maybe not a Top 6, but I can see him falling into the Top 10. Laurinaitis isn't a lock to declare, I live in Columbus and James is at best a 50/50 chance of staying and that can help Maualuga.

He's just nasty...he can play ILB...OLB...blitz...drop back into coverage (not great but hey)...stuffs the run...really knows how to read the offense...

Imagine him and Harris on the inside for us...

I'd love for Rey to play next to Harris.........It would be hard, especially in Jan, saying Rey is a lock for #6. Funny things happen and the top 10 board will change come April.

I agree. He made my jaw hit the floor on a couple of plays yesterday. Much more impressive than either Rivers or Ellis in this game. He supposedly has a pretty short fuse and has to be reined in quite a bit. If you ask me, that's the exact type of player the Jets' Defense needs. They need to play with more of an edge.

He's the best player on the best defense in college. His first half in the Rose bowl (3 sacks in a half, just crazy) insured getting picked in the top 15.

Sadly, if we pass on him, he would likely go at 7. The USC, Junior Seau connection would likely make him a Patriot.

I haven't even watched him yet....But I hear he's the real deal. If McFadden is gone...maybe..I'll get back on this. LB- Rivers is also a good player ?

Rivers is a good player, but he?s undersized for a 34, he would struggle just like vilma
