Watching South-Florida-Oregon. Great announcers as always. First drive of the game, one guy calls South Florida the "Bulldogs". Air Force leads Cal 21-14 in 3rd quarter Oregon-South Florida scoreless in first quarter Georgia Tech up 7-0 on Fresno State in first Kentucky-FSU Oklahoma State-Indiana Clemson-Auburn
Now this is the stuff I have been waiting for. Sweet that I am at work all day. Caught half of the Air Force game and was excited to see them play. Noticed they had cheerleaders which surprised me. Before the games began I liked Air Force, GT, Kentucky and Auburn. I would abstain from the other two but would pick Oregon and Indiana if you twisted my arm.
Watch juniors Bear Pascoe and Tom Brandstater in the Fresno game. Both players could be highly ranked pro prospects after next season. It's not 7-0 GT anymore -- Fresno is up 10-7.
Worst production EVER in the Oregon game. End of first quarter: "and there's the end of the first half" block in the back: "holding" (and the screen said holding, too!) pass interference: "holding" Any time a runner is stopped at the LOS: "a pickup of 3 yards there" Tons of penalties in the first half. If I was in charge at CBS, I'd fire everyone involved with this. I've never seen worse. oh, and Oregon went for a 2 point conversion after their TD, and they didn't even show it properly. They had a bizarre camera angle that didn't allow you to see the play. The announcers thought it was an extra point even though there wasn't a holder or anyone back to kick the ball. USF had it 1st and 10 at the 13, screen says 1st and goal.
either these guys don't know football, or someone gave them a heavy dose of mind-altering drugs this morning
I can't watch anymore. It's too painful. Oregon leads 11-3 Update on the other games: Cal leads Air Force 35-27 Fresno State leads Ga. Tech 10-7
Air Force's QB blew his knee out or something. He's laying on a stretcher right now biting the towel.
Matt Grothe is incredible sometimes. Escapes another sack and throws a TD. They add the 2-pointer and tie the game up at 11. Wow.
18 penalties in the Sun Bowl. Just 3 dead ball personal foul calls on one play. That would make it 20 or 21.
The refs and the broadcast team at the Sun Bowl in a futility competition. Refs call 3 offsetting personal fouls on a single innocuous play, and then CBS doesn't show any replays of it.
they're on pace for over 400 yards of penalties, and I'm not sure that even counts the three personal fouls which were ruled as offsetting.
Should be a fun day! Im rooting for South Florida, Fresno State, Cal, Clemson, Kentucky and Indiana. USF-Oregon could be a good one:beer:
And yet as ugly as it is, I'd still rather watch this than the Fresno/GaTech game. Smurf turf makes me seasick.
Yesss...Fresno State is up 20-7 at halftime. The Dogs kicked a field goal as time expired after GT turned it over on downs at midfield. No wonder Tenuta wasn't named the head coach at GT. Suprisingly FS has been able to run the ball on GT's #1 ACC Rush defense.
South Florida's not going to have a prayer if they can't stop Stewart. They need to start forcing turnovers like they did against West Fuckin' Virginia. As for Georgia Tech, everybody knows they can't beat Bulldogs.
