I don't understand how that was a late flag, that penalty should result in a flag right as the play goes off. And it gives the Pats an extra down with goal to go. I hate to call up the conspiracy charges but that one is a little strange.
I didn't realize the extra down part, I figured Giants could reject it or something. It doesn't matter anyway, when you're that close to the goal line and the you're the Patriots, chances are you're scoring anyway. I just thought it was odd to see a late flag on the Patriots. Refs usually help them.
Doesn't bother me since it has no impact on the Giants' standing and plus I hate NE that much anyway. Besides if the Giants somehow won this week I could easily picture it being a curse in disguise, since they'd get all big-headed as usual and probably crap out against Tampa.
That is a good way to look at it. I just picture a Giants team full of so much confidence that it leads them to the Super Bowl against the Pats, and I end up having to watch sewing or whatever else they show on Super Bowl Sunday. I guess as a Jets fan, the football cup is always half empty.
