This is the thread you have w/4 wins or less in a season. There are so many. I'd have to say Bryan Thomas. Practically everyone on the team regressed, but if you tried to tell me how BT would play in 2007, after the way he played in 2006, I wouldnt have believed it. Chad, D-Rob, Vilma,....even D'Brick I wouldnt have had a hard time believing. But BT was so disappointing.
Ben Graham. Come on, last season he was, according to Mangini, the only untouchable man on the roster. Now we brought in a UDFA to compete with him. What the hell happened? That long, tasty six year contract getting to him?
I would say it's Alio. First the classless anti-Chad signature and now you've pissed off God. Nice going.
Can't say J-Mac was disappointing cuz there were no expectations for him (though he somehow managed to not even meet the extremely low expectations we all had). I'll have to go with D'Brick. He hasn't really progressed this year and his worthiness as a high draft pick is very questionable at this point.
Kellen Clemens. I was hoping to see flashes of greatness from the kid despite a weak OLine, but all I've seen were flashes of mediocraty.
D'Brickashaw Ferguson He's had a worse year than last year. 11.75 sacks in 15 games, come on. Hate this stiff.
pennington, who always led us to the playoffs when healthy, wtf happened??!, hope it wasnt that ankle:up:
The most dissapointing Jet is the 3rd or 4rth WR? In order to be a dissapointment, you needed to have high expectations of him in the 1st place. - P.S. Only I can be dissapointed in uncle Justin.
Thanks man! Glad to know you're in my fan club! But it wasn't me at the game cheering Chad's injury. Ahem. BTW: I would have made my sig "God Hates Jets Season Tickets Holders" but I didn't feel like fielding questions all day about it.
I'm going to nominate a Coach......TONY WISE......he ran Miami's O-Line into the ground and is doing the same with the Jet's. Ask any Phin Fan, they hated Wise. Hopefully next Monday he's looking for employment. Player....Bryan Thomas..............it seemed like he played well last year for a new contract. The guy was practically invisible this year.
See, I gave up on god during the 1985 playoffs, I figured there was no way he could possibly exist. I thought maybe after the 51-45 OT win the next year that he was trying to tell me something, but after we lost that Cleveland playoff game in double OT I was convinced--no god. Just one fucked up universe where bad things happen to good football teams. I didn't cheer Chad's injury but I cheered him when he came back and led a TD drive against the Pats. I may even borrow my wife's Chad jersey in case this is his last game, instead of wearing my usual Keyshawn. I think--game day decision.
You should wear it. It will almost surely be his last game as a Jet. Honestly, I don't hate Chad. He gave 110% of everything he had for the team. Unfortunately, his 110% is only 80% of what a good QB brings to the table. He can be successful I think. Just not here. So I want him out.
I'm seconding that nomination.... I don't even think it's debatable... We had very high hopes for him coming into this season, and he proceeded to develop into one of the most undeservingly stubborn, idiotic coaches, on game day, and in the offseason, I've seen in a while....
We'll see. I'm guessing if Clemens is handed the job and we have another year like this one, you'll still have your job. Not sure if Mangini can say the same thing, and he's the one who has to make that decision.
Gotta go with BT on this one...high expectations->low output. Honorable mention: Thomas Jones (I know the line sux, but still!)
