Jets' need 4 picks in the 1st 2 rounds. I don't care if they have to trade there #1 pick of next year...They need 4 -5 picks in the 1st 3 rounds to have a good & effective team. They just have to many holes. McFadden would be nice , but if Jets' could trade down & get more picks within 1st 3 rounds...I'd rather have more picks. Jets' need to come out of draft with a NT, OLB, T, G, CB, ILB & whatever other free agents that they have signed. I'd rather have Frank Okam or Red Bryant & Jeff Otah or Cherilus from B.C. & a speed rusher. Jets' can win with the RB's that they have with a good OL. They can always get a RB next year. Jets' need quality & quanity right now. Now if Jets' can sign a marquee NT in F.A., then the hole table opens up for the Jets' & they can take McFadden & fill in the rest of the pieces.
I don't know about giving up next year's first rounder, but i'm all for trading down and stockpiling picks. We need to trade Vilma, Coles, and Chad too so hopefully we can get some good value out of them.
I agree w/you about somehow, someway the JETS need to get themselves 4 picks in the first 2 rounds -- there is a lot of quality in the first 2 rounds. The only way we could get 4 picks in the first 2 rounds would be to trade Vilma. The only player we have of trade value that warrants a 2nd round draft pick in return.
So you want 4 picks in the first 2 rounds but you don't want to trade Vilma, who could get us a 2nd rounder and doesn't fit anywhere in our defensive scheme? It's pretty clear you have no idea what you're talking about.
