It would be nice if he could catch.
But really....he can only get better with time & when the OL gets better...his play will also get better.

Brad is a great athlete....true enough.....but he's like Mike Vick..WHAT DO YOU DO WITH HIM???? He's NOT a PRO QB...let's try im running in the slot......EVERY play is a punt return!!!!!!..Hell I don't know...just thinking out loud here

yea thats true...every play when he has the ball in his hands is kinda like a punt return but he is very exciting to watch and usually makes big plays with the ball....him, leon, and cotch are prolly are most explosive players...cotch with running room is like the juggarnaut bitch

honestly, if our FO released him, that would be the biggest waste of talent and im positive the next team will snatch him up fast....i met him at a football camp at buckely high were mangini is from in connecticut, he was one of my position coaches and seeing him run in person is sick, kellen clemens was another, he really isnt that tall but i witnessed him throw it over 60 yards in the air so that was pretty cool

I'd like to see the Jets do the heavy lifting of actually converting him to receiver before I make a final judgement on whether he can play in the NFL or not.

The option stuff and the trick plays are just detracting from his development as a receiver.

BTW, Smith is already worth a roster spot as a gunner and blocker on special teams. He'd stay with the Jets for 3 or 4 seasons on that basis alone.

Smith has to remember to always catch the ball with his hands. He tends to body catch too often. Also, he can't concentrate on long passes & doesn't become a defender on bad passes & allows pickoffs to happen...like McCarriens.

The only knock I see with Clemens is that he is a bit short, otherwise he has all the tools. The Saints QB is also short, but he gets the job done. Clemens also has good mobility. Clemens will help win alot of games...for some team. Hopefully its' the Jets. OL just has to get better.

yea thats another thing....people already lost faith in KC....i mean hes a had a fair amount of starts and has showed flashes, how many times has he been sacked....alot, hes thrown a good amount of INT but how many times did his best recievers start, how many times did his recievers drop the ball, how many times has he made plays with his feet...a lot, hes made many ROOKIE mistakes in his second year, hes consistant with peyton mannings number in his second season....everyone wants a ben rothlesburger or tom brady who can immediatly make an impact but when they got their starts, the teams were already superbowl caliber...a great quarterback takes atleast two to three years starting to develop. KC is goin to be great. This organization is heading this team in the right direction....a great team learns how to overcome and persever the adversity and were not gonna be great immediatly...playoffs next year possibly, two years maybe...three years we will be great....patience is bliss....everyone is depressed on the season, think for the future i have since week 7 lol...just have faith, mangini is doing a good job...maybe with the exception of the bob sutton and some bitchy FA signings...

oh and for brad smith.....hes the man:)

The one thing I really like about Smith is that the man can really get some vertical. If only he could just catch.
