I'm going to try and be as realistic as possible here. I'm hoping as bad a season the Jets had the FO will try to be fairly aggressive.

    Free Agency.

Hasn't been our strongest point the past few offseasons but there's a few guys out there that can help the team drastically.

    1) Stacey Andrews, OT, Philadelphia and Montrae Holland, OG, Denver. The offensive line should be priority 1. Andrews is a big dude at 6-7, 342 and Holland is 6-2, 322 and the two can combine to become a pretty formidable right side of the line. Both are unrestricted free agents and are going to cost some dough but aren't the cream of the crop and won't cost a ridiculous amount.

    2) Ethan Kelly, NT, Cleveland. A true nose at 6-2, 338, could hopefully fill the big gap in the middle of our defense.

    3) Randall Gay, CB, New England. Hopefully the Pats go hard after Samuel and spend big bucks on him letting Gay walk. He's gone from Super Bowl filler to solid starter and would look good across from Revis.

    4) Bryant Johnson, WR, Arizona. First round pick actually was taken out of Penn St. before Boldin. Great size at 6'3 and alot of potential.

    5) Josh McCown, QB, Oakland. Underwhelming backup QB but if you're going to give the reins to Clemens give it to him.

    Trades

The way it looks both Coles and Pennington are gone. Our best bet is to try and send them to the same team and get as much value as possible. It's a little Maddeny but I think it actually has a good chance of happening. The most logical choice is KC where Coles could team with Bowe and Pennington compete with Croyle. I don't think a 2nd and 4th rounder is out of the question for two guys who could potentially start for KC.

Despite our record we're not a team with a glaring hole that can be filled by one player in the top 5 of the draft. The way the draft is shaping up we're going to be in a huge position of power if McFadden is around. McFadden, Jones and Washington would tie up too much money in one position. I think out of Dallas we could get both 1st rounders a 3rd and their 1st next year. We'd be trading down far but this is the type of move New England has been making for years.

    Draft:

1.23) (from Dallas) Limas Sweed, WR, Texas. This is an estimation of where Cleveland's pick will wind up being. I'm not a huge fan of going WR but if Coles leaves this is a place that can be upgraded. Sweed has the size to be a #1 type target.

1.31) (from Dallas) Kentwan Balmer, DE, North Carolina. Prototypical 3-4 end size and skills set, could become a major part of the rotation right away.

2.5) Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss. Ton of talent could lead him going higher then this. Wouldn't have to start right away and could either develop into a right tackle, pushing Andrews inside or could form a very athletic left side of the line playing guard next to Ferguson.

2.8) (from Kansas City) Quentin Groves, OLB/DE, Auburn. Pass rushing specialist has been dropping and could be our answer to getting the QB.

3.5) Josh Barrett, S, Arizona St. Big hitter plays with great tenacity. Would contribute right away on special teams and could wind up starting next to Rhodes quickly.

3.31) (from Dallas) Darnell Tarrell, CB, Missouri. Projected as a 2nd day pick now I think he's going to rise on the draft board. 6'2 and loves to come up and support against the run he has alot of talent and if he's coached right could be an above average corner or free safety.

    Depth Chart

    QB: Clemens, McCown, Tui
    RB: Jones, Washington
    FB: Posciak, Tutt
WR: Cotchery, Johnson, Sweed, Smith, Wright
    TE: Baker, Kowaleski
    OT: Ferguson, Andrews, Oher
    OG: Holland, Moore
    C: Mangold

    DE: Ellis, Coleman, Balmer, Robertson
    NT: Kelly, Robertson

    OLB: Thomas, Groves, Hobson, Bowens
    ILB: Harris, Vilma, Barton, Kassell

CB: Revis, Gay, Barrett, Poteat, Tarrell
    FS: Elam, Barrett
    SS: Rhodes, Smith

Keep in mind this is a very young roster with a high ceiling plus Dallas' 2009 first round pick.

Getting 3 first rounders plus a third for our pick?

    I don't see it.

Also I don't see Clemens bringing us to the playoffs in 2008.

Very interesting that Vilma's still there. If only this would actually happen...

Let's say we get the Fourth pick (which is worth 1,800 points according to the trade value chart).

The 23 and 31 combine for 1360, a late third makes it 1480 which would leave out about 320 points (a late second).

I've heard that Jones really wants McFadden, so even though it is very unlikely, it is possible we could get both First Rounders, a Third Rounder and an 09 Second Rounder

Why would they want McFaddon? They already have Marion Barber, and Julious Jones?

Jones is probably gone after this year being a free agent and Jerry loves McFadden supposebly. JJ is an Arkansas alum himself and a Barber-McFadden combo would be one of the best in the league.

    Very unrealistic.

Michael Oher will probably stay in school another year, if he doesn't he won't fall to the second round.

I don't see the 49'ers passing on Groves twice, but I guess it could happen.

Sweed is a bit of a reach there, and Darnell Terrell is a massive reach there.

And the trade itself probably won't happen, I don't see Dallas giving up that much for one player.
