You tell me to pretend the kick never happened, here is the problem, it DID happen. Of course if there was just some penalty on 4th down that would give us 4th down if declining, you accept it. That's common sense. That is NOT the case here. In this case, if you decline you take the lead, if you accept you are still trailing by one (with a chance to take the lead or get nothing). Take the points and the lead. It was a stupid call on the part of our CS.
Agreed. An undrafted backup is better than anyone that we have and that's sad. I'm not giving up on Clemens yet, but he's looked awful.
Now remember chad, it's 3rd and 10, so you are required to throw the ball atleast 10 yards to have a realistic shot at a first down. Edit - Usually I'd flame him for a call like that (4 yard pass on 3rd and 9), but in this case it worked, so I'll stay quiet. Nice play by cotchery.
1)our front office didn't make that call. 2)It was the right call. It's much better to have a chance at a TD.
