D-MAC or trade out? It seems that a majority (not everybody) wants McFadden if he is available at the time of our pick --- more so than C. Long. But I say taking D-Mac is option #2. Option #1 is to trade out of that pick entirely no matter who is available to acquire more picks. Agree or no?
Trading down out of the Top 5 is almost impossible anymore. Not really going to be an option for us, unless McFadden falls to us and someone really covets him.

I repeat: A player with fumblitis that has durability issues both due to his running style for his size and an injury to his foot along with character issues from bar fights during college is NOT the solution. Trade down a couple of slots if possible, if not and Gholston has declared, take him. Yes, he is an amazing athlete. He can run, he can catch and he can throw. He just can't hold on to the damned ball.

Any Running Back is only as good as his offensive line and if this point is not addressed McFadden is a pointless pick. Don't count on Faneca helping I would think that if he doesn't stay in Pittsburgh he will be going to Arizona to rejoin Wisenhunt and Russ Grimm, who was the former OL coach at Pitt. and IMHO...Unless they trade out and can get multiple picks how can the Dolphins not pick Mcfadden. Yes, the Dolphins OL stinks, but even if Regie Brown returns, they are in desparate need (more than even us) for a playmaker. Think how much pressure would be off of Becks's shoulders with a RB tandem like that....It's the same reason why Tavaris Jackson's game has improved.
Tavaris Jackson also throws off of his back foot for no reason and has stepped up into sacks that a high school QB would know not to do.
This is what happens when your team has a losing season. A very bad losing season at that. One becomes frustrated w/talking about the games which we lose & tires of talking about the losing season. One escapes by looking forward to the draft & offseason moves on improving. I agree - the draft & offseason threads are too common. I'll bet that there werent half as many last year when the JETS were winning & making it into the playoffs.
