What pisses me off the most about this is why weren't the Jets interested in him for the same role. A guy like Parcells is just what this team needs to run the football operations and you would think he would have had some interest in returning considering the fact that he would have had a GM & HC already in place that he respects. One thing for sure is that the division just got a whole lot more interesting .
I vote, quote of the year...I don't care how much of a football whore Parcells is, but the Fins will be good, so, we better start beating the shit out of everyone next year or just sell the friggen team.
Sadly I think I agree with this statement. Its a shame too, it would have been such a perfect match it is hard to believe the people in charge of making these decisions couldn't see that.
Well just maybe Woody did offer BP the position & BP said no thanks even though I doubt that is what occurred sad to say. Like comparing BP with MT & EM is like comparing a giant of the FB world & 2 babies of the FB world
The only good thing about this is that Bill Cowher will almost certainly not end up in Miami now. I was really enjoying how bad the Dolphins sucked - the AFC East is going to be real tough in a couple of years.
What makes you think Parcells would work for him again? I'm beginning to think he's the reasson we keep having to hire rookie HCs.
I don't think Parcells actually worked for him, although I could be wrong. I think the Hess Estate was in the process of selling the team all through 2000 and Woody wound up buying it at the beginning of 2001.
If that's the case, then it sounds like Parcells scatted out of town before he had to deal with Woody. We've had nothing but rookie GMs and rookie HCs ever since. It hardly sounds like a coincidence.
