Incase your interested: Royal Rumble tickets go on sale tomorrow morning, 10am. Prices are 35, 50, 75, 90, and 400.
Actually I heard they AREN'T on sale at the box office. I really want to go to the Rumble, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to buy tickets tomorrow. If worse comes to worse, I'll just look on Stubhub some time next month, I'm sure I'll be able to snag some nice seats for a decent price.
How is it possible that the WWE is having a Randy Orton vs Jeff Hardy title match? I know the industry is down, but that's just awful.
Well, Orton is the top heel right now. And Hardy has become a big crowd fav. He actually beat Triple H to get the title shot. The only problem with it is that the promos are total suckjobs. Both have the personality of a brick on the mic. Hopefully they'll get Jericho back into the title hunt mix after this PPV. They shot that load far too quickly. (Though who knows what will happen with JBL coming to RAW.)
Say what you want but Jeff Hardy is putting on the most entertaining matches in the WWE than anybody else,it's nice to see him get this push to the main event.
The direction HHH's career goes all depends on what they decide to do with the Flair match on RAW. I believe that if HHH LOSES that match, his career as a title contender will be over, as his image will have gone too soft.... I really hope that HHH turns heel by beating the snot out of Flair, sending him into retirement, and gets back in the title hunt... I just want someone to beat Randy Orton to the extent that he never appears on my TV set again... The guy's a bore, and hardly believable as a top contender, let alone a champion
Well, I think the direction of that match will be determined on whether Flair has decided he's actually had enough of the wrestling life. Chances are, Flair will cheat to get past him, which is fine. Triple H going heel is just inevitable. It'll happen at some point. I agree that he needs to take out Orton. Hell, ANYONE would be a hero for taking out Orton. As I said, they shot the load far too early with Jerricho on Orton. A couple months of hardship "earning" then meeting Orton at a future PPV would have been the best-case scenario.
He's improved his in-ring work a lot and the crowd loves him.It becomes stale having the same guys at the top and I welcome the change that is brought on by Jeff's hard work. As for Orton,he's a bit bland but I think he plays the bad guy well enough.I like how he always manges to survive by the skin of his teeth, plus the cutter is always a good finisher. And at least he's not John Cena.
It's not like they'll book Flair to win outright. And if he does, HHH is still the biggest draw on the show, he can be in the main event whenever he wants. It was reported on a lot of news sites that HHH wants to be a face for the rest of his career. He enjoys playing the comedian type role he plays now.
Hardy's not exactly a fresh face, he's either been a tag guy or toiling in the mid card for like 10 years now. He's a fresh face for the main event, but that's not always a good thing. I have no problem with other younger guys getting a shot, but they should atleast be able to cut a promo (like Kennedy). Hardy's somehow become popular over the years for doing a retarded dance, wearing body paint, and jumping off ladders. I'm expecting this whole Hardy push to fade soon. Either the WWE comes to their senses, or Hardy goes back to being a moron and getting himself fired.
Personally, I like Jeff Hardy because he's like Mick Foley, always willing to put his body on the line for the show. Granted, Mick has 100x the personality, but I admire anybody willing to sacrifice their own personal safety just for my entertainment. And Kennedy is a douchebag. I don't think he's all that great on promos. He's a heel, and not a very good one.
