should the colts have given up on manning when he threw 28 picks his first year and called him a bust? i dont understand, honestly i would rather see KC throw 2 picks a game at this point in his career as long as I get to see a QB who can throw the ball and actually look like an NFL QB. I'm a long time chad supporter but I cant even stand to watch his style of play. he's so easy to read as a defensive back. i'd rather see a QB who is gonna make some bad throws but who hasnt reached his potential and can actually go down and score some td's
Manning also threw 26 TDs. Clemens has not even come close to matching his INTs with TDs. Please stop with the Manning comps, it is night and day.
4 touchdowns not a lot of TD's scored. I am so sick of hearing about Manning. Clemens could not park Mannings car. I would say the Colts were bad the year before since they had the #1 pick, not a wild card team.
newsflash, we are much closer to being compared to that colts team than we are to any semblance of a wild card team i only bring up that point because you people are ridiculous with this shit. someone should really go and examine this 4-10 td-int ratio because im pretty sure at least 3 were last minute bombs at the end of the game, desparation throws
ANY word on the legality of that hit..... There was a play in this game where the Jet defender could have driven his weight into Brady but didn't..... If this play happened to Brady, Whiny Tools from all over would make this the biggest issue of the week... It happened to Clemens so we all just wonder if anyone even cares... WHAT A FREAKING DIFFERENCE.....
Chad was good for us, but you know what your gonna get ten points a game and a crippled running back, because not 1 defense respects his arm anymore. Its not his fault but its reality. He is the smarter qb but only from playing experience, so lets give kc sometime. Its not like we are going anywhere for a year or two regardless of who is getting killed back there
So when do we hear how much the fine is????? You're telling me there wouldn't be a fine if this were Brady????
Looks like he hurt his shoulder: http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2007/12/hempstead_ny_chad_pennington.html
WHERE IS THE FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I the only one that is seriously PISSED and upset over this.... COME ON... what happend to "Driving the QB into the turf"????????? I wish someone could answer this.......
No one can. Like you said, it it was Brady, it would have been a 15 yarder and suspension of the guy.
I was pissed but I had the good sense to realize my anger was futile because it's the Jets and no one will make a big deal about it. Just like the Baker force-out last season versus the Winslow force-out this season.
I agree. It's unbelievable to me how down some Jets fans gat on a guy over one game or even one play. Several weeks ago, the plan was this: Bench Chad and give Clemens time to see what we've got. This was a good idea. Have things materially changed in several weeks? Of course not, but some Jet fans' opinions change like the freakin' wind. The Clemens injury has put us between a rock and a hard place (once again). Of course, this will be Mangini's fault, I'm sure, but that's a whole other issue. The problem at hand now is, what do we do with Chad? We can't start him next year and we can't release him without decent compensation either. This is going to be a real test of Tannenbaum's skill because Chad certainly is no dummy and he knows damned well he's not going to be starting in '08.
It might have been an okay idea at the time, but seeing what Clemens has to offer makes Chad look that much better.
Agreed. Mark Cannizzaro's pleadings notwithstanding, Penny is a goner. the cord was cut some games ago. No one can make a fair determination on KC yet. I do not understand why people are killing him when he has been ducking D linemen all year. Get some players in here and see what he can do. We lost plenty of games with Chad this year. We are not going back to that well next year.
Pennington beat Miami. That's it. I'm not impressed. So did KC. KC: 2-5, Chad: 1-6 Pennington was throwing picks in the 4th quarter like they were going out of style. At least KC has NFL inexperience to blame. What's Chad's deal? As mentioned by Boomer da G.O.A.T., some of those picks everyone is poking a stick at were garbage time. To call KC fragile, and then jump on Pennington's Johnson the whole thread is in the least paradoxic and also seeps lack of NFL knowledge.
..........and by looking better, you mean throwing several game losing picks this year and not beating anyone but the Phins? Has Clemens looked Great? No I expect that from a 2nd year QB. Has Chad looked Great? No, and I expect better from a vet of his supposed talent.
