3AM so that the viewing audience doesn't have to suffer through what should be a boring, uneventful game...
My tickets say TBA, so I've been thinking right along it was 1 or 4PM. When did they announce that it was a night game? My grandson is coming in from FL for the holidays and we're going come hell or high water. I know it doesn't mean anything but we'll probably be able to sit anywhere we want along the 50 YL. He's a HUGE Leon Washington fan. Jets: 27 Herm's Crew: 13
It was always a night game (8:15) start, but just how NBC can flex teams into the game, they can also flex out so they put TBA on the tickets. NBC sports still has the NYJ-KC game listed for 8:15.
Oh man I hope they keep it as a night game. Would be one hell of a way to see my first regular season Jets game, freezing ass cold, watching a pair of miserable teams. Ah, the atmosphere.
Go to Section 105 Row 35 seat 25,26 and 27. They are covered and there is a 99.999999% chance that at 8:15, I will not be there.
They might keep it there. A train wreck between Mangini and Herm with two bad teams has a certain amount of spectacle to it. Just imagine the camera going from sideline to sideline near the end with Herm's confused look as he talks to Dick Curl and Mangini's petrified stare as he thinks about losing to the Chiefs at home and his dick curls...
I just found out that for week 17, to ensue playoff implications, they can wait till 6 days before instead of the normal 12 to decide. I am sure they are going to move us but we will know for sure until 12/25. Count on our game starting at 1pm. That would be embarassing for the league to end the season with 3/4 empty stadium with 2 teams that have no offense.
There are only 4 games that, right now, would be worth flexing into the primetime slot: TEN @ IND DAL @ WAS NO @ CHI MIN @ DEN The Tennessee-Indianapolis game may not be worthwhile after this Sunday. FOX may have protected the Dallas-Washington game. It may not be all that great anyway in the event Washington loses this Sunday. Also, does NBC want Washington for three straight weeks?
definitely not true and NBC is going to flex out. From what I've heard, it's expected to be made a 4 PM game.
Dallas has used up its alloted 6 prime time games, so that one is out. NO-Chi maybe as well if Chicago has appeared in 5 primetime games. That would leave Minnesota - Denver if the Vikings can gain a playoff berth with a win.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore could decide the AFC North. There are six games I see that are definitely preferable to Chiefs-Jets
Yeah, that's right. I overlooked the Pittsburgh one. Cleveland's game would have to be considered, also.
Not if I get there first, Tank. And don't fight me on this. I'm bringing my son-in-law with me, an ex-TE, who weighs 278 lbs! LOL Seriously, I'll be there with my Sec 227 tickets, but at 8:15 there will be plenty of empty seats, I'm sure. I'll probably take my grandson over to the Jets side and park our asses on the 50 yard line somewhere so he can get a good look at Leon, his favorite player. KICK EDWARDS' ASS!
