Anyone else shocked that not a single jet went to the pro bowl? Leon Washington was beyond deserving, leading the league in kick return TDs, and he's had a bunch of solid returns besides those. Joshua Cribbs beat him out, who hasn't had as good of a year.

Leon deserved the Pro-bowl and one could make an argument for a couple of other Jets, too.

Unfortunately, on a national basis, you don't get votes unless you win.

The Pro Bowl is nothing but a paid vacation, they should do away with it altogether.

Check out Cribbs' Stats before making that blanket statement. He's actually had a very, very good year, and he's playing on a team that is 9-4, not 3-11.

The guy who should have made it is Kerry Rhodes.... Polamalu made it over him... From the other Pro Bowl thread:

As long as he has his douchey long hair, and everyone knows who he is, Kerry Rhodes will never make the Pro Bowl.... Maybe he should grow his hair out?

Here's the snippet from the Banks "All-Bust Team" article:

Rhodes for the season, largely on a struggling defensive unit where he was one of very few bright spots:

    62 tackles, 47 solo 1 sack, 9 passes defended, 5 INTs

Sean Taylor made the team... I'm glad, wonder if they'll do a 10-men on defense thing with the NFC squad to start the game? I hope they pay tribute to him some how at the game

To be fair there were more than a few questioning where the hell is Kerry Rhodes during the first 4-5 games. He did start the season slow.

However, this is his second season in a row clearly outplaying Polamalu.

Also, Leon is a kick returner on a freaking 3-11 team. Why is there any surprise here. He has been more consistent this year than Cribbs but this Pro Bowl is nothing more than a popularity contest..............

I cant believe they fucking snubbed my boy K-Ro again. What must he do? Last year he was top 5 in tackles, FF, FR, INT's and Sacks by a safety. He piles another great year on top of that and another MIA. The NFL hates the Jets, the pro bowl is a joke when guys like ray lewis are still making it with the decline of performance.

Heres a nice tid bit from espn insiders pro bowl team

    Safeties

    Ed Reed, Baltimore
    (33 tackles, 6 INTs, 12 PD)
    Bob Sanders, Indianapolis
    (87 tackles, 1 INT, 3 PD)
    Kerry Rhodes, New York
    (62 tackles, 2 FF, 5 INTs, 9 PD)

    Snubs
    Sean Jones, Cleveland
    (84 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 1 FF, 5 INTs, 10 PD)
    Troy Polamalu, Pittsburgh
    (52 tackles, 2 FF, 8 PD)
    Donte Whitner, Buffalo
    (83 tackles, 1 FF, 1 INT, 1 PD)

Reed is easily the best safety in the NFL and would be a perfect fit in any defensive system based on his versatility. Sanders is another great player who is a big hitter and provides an emotional presence. Rhodes, who should have made the Pro Bowl last season, is a good, young player that has the versatility to play up close to the line of scrimmage or down the field in deep zones. It was tough to narrow this list to three and any of the snubbed safeties could have made this Pro Bowl team. All are very good football players that can impact the defensive side of the ball, especially Polamalu, who has been limited this year due to a knee injury.

I think that Rhodes was snubbed. I think Cribbs was probably a little better than Leon.

    HOWEVER

The biggest snub is Wallace Wright!

There is no better special teams player in the AFC than Wallace Wriight. He makes a tackle or down on almost every special teams play the Jets have. It is ridiculous that he does not get any recognition. He is a very "special" special teams player.

I think they should put a Jets Waterboy on the field preferably an offensive lineman or a defensive lineman or if neither are available Justin McCarriens will do. Maybe the embarassment will wake them up....I know I doubt it to

No, you have never seen Osgood play, he is better than Wright, although I do think he is underrated, I mean, you couldn't even vote for him on the probowl fan voting.

But yeah, Osgood does stuff like wright does every game.

Washignton wasn't robbed. Cribbs was more deserving, and Roscoe Parrish would also be ahead of him.

The only Jet you could make a real case for is Rhodes. But honestly, this is a 3 win team. they suck for a reason.
