    Agreed 110%

Other than a second round draft pick, I would like to know what else McCareins has cost us. I can't think of any big plays the man has ever made.

Where are all the McCareins defenders now...

still contending he needs time "to gel" with the QB?
or maybe he's simply "a bad fit for our offense"??

Ridiculous. I hated the trade then, and I hate it now. A 2nd round pick is like gold in today's NFL. For proof, see "Harris, David."

It's really terrible because the guy has a great frame to be a top WR...he's tall, he's quick, and he does run pretty good routes...but he's lazy, he doesn't have correct catching mechanics, and he doesn't show fight for the ball.

For another example of a wasted 2nd round pick see:

    Askew, BJ

Mcaerins did not do good job today because he missed many catch. I think jets maybe won if coles did not leave.

McCareins is the most overpaid NY athlete since Luc Longley, Penny Hardaway, Steve Francis, Allan Houston basically any over-the-hill has-been on the Knicks roster over the past 5 years.

You could argue he's even a bigger assh-le since having him on the team actually makes the team worse, whereas the Knicks have been smart enough to eat the contracts of marginal contributors or flat-out busts, to buy them out, so that these losers don't drag the team into deeper sh-t by their performance on game day.

So are you saying you'd rather have Justin McCareins than a high 2nd rounder? I hope not.

Every team that's had any kind of dynasty or prolonged success in the NFL has had kick-ass Drafts.

Look at the Jets: Anthony Schlegel in the 3rd round, a reserve LB and special teams player.

I think Askew was a 3rd round pick. Maybe I'm mistaken but that's what I always thought.

    Nevertheless, still a bad pick.

Great thread; thanks. If everything goes perfect for us next season; there is a good shot we could be one of the filler playoff teams.

being 10 - 6 and one and done is way better than being 3 - 13 becasue then you get to keep your coach.

Honestly, I ALWAYS root for ex-Jets. Santana Moss, Kevin Mawae, Vinny T, hell even Kendall: I always like to see former Jets have success.

But this McCareins fuck. I want this man to suffer long after getting fired next year, long after signing with another team, long after retiring from football, right until the day he dies a miserable death, cold and alone and dead. And then I hope he gets reincarnated, and dies during child birth.

    Fuck you, Justin McCareins.

This is off on a serious tangent, but did anybody ever watch Quantum Leap? Every time I watch a play to Justin McCareins, I keep thinking Scott Bakula just leaped into McCareins body, without any knowledge of how to play football, and all he can say is "Oh boy."

McCareins is the worst. He only seems decent when the backup QB comes in for a series, like the Ravens game and yesterday.

    He is awful!!!!!

Hes a decent WR , he just needs time to adapt to Kevin Clemons' fast balls

I couldn't watch a play because my power went out at 12:30, but J-Mac sucks on radio too. What a bum. I don't know why they keep going to this guy in big spots.
