There was a whole section in the report dedicated to the Sox, not to mention Theo was listed multiple times looking for roided players. Now STFU.
Does this have to do with baseball or are you some sort of mathematical supervillian whose plan to dominate the Earth includes massive and incredibly specific amnesia?
Its truly amazing in today's steroid era, the greatest hitting catcher of all time Mike Piazza never even gets linked or hinted to steroid use. All the time while facing pitchers who are steroid abusers and junkies. Oh, the power of olive oil and red sauce and working out. (For skeptics, this was a serious post - Piazza first ballot hall of fame).
of course piazza is a first ballot hall of famer....but im sure he took roids...wanna know how I know?....cuz everyone took roids!
Jonny - you missed your calling; you would have made a great lawyer. And certainly would make the judge giggle. You related to Joe Pesci?
Now that's not right. Frank Thomas certainly didn't. Alex Rodriguez didn't. Ken Griffey jr. didn't. You can't paint everyone with the same bursh. Innocent until proven guilty...and once proven guilty (Bonds, Clemens, especially Palmeiro, the one future HOFer to actually fail a test), blast away.
fuck that...guilty until proven inocent.....and in your logic, can we really, truly say clemens is guilty? hmmm? wheres the proof?
Well, the Trentonian headline said that Clemens gets it in the BUTT. At least I think they were talking about steroids.:breakdance:
I wanna see a paper trail! Even is they had the stuff --- did they actually take it? Look, I'm suspicious of these players, but what happened to McGuire and Sosa? Arod? No active Red Sox players from an investigation conducted a Sox Board member? Was this investigation fair and impartial? This report is not iron-clad. There are holes in it. Look, if these guys are innocent, they should sue the crap out of Mitchell and MLB. If guilty, then they should admit it and shut up. Besides...all this pants-dropping and butt-touching sounds kinda...well...er...gay...
Pretty disgusted with Mitchell to be sure, but I am also disappointed in the Yanks who were on steroids (assuming everyone on this report really was). However, this will not change the way I root for the players named who are still on the Yankees, in fact I will probably cheer for them even harder to offset the boos that will likely come
Guess what these numbers are: 11-14.....191.7....4.46 9-7.........170.7....2.85 10-5.......140.0....4.18 10-13.....242.7....3.64 21-7.......264.0....2.05 20-6.......234.7....2.65 Those are the W-L, innings pitched, and ERA number for Roger Clemens in the four years before and the two years after when, at the ages of 35 and 36, he is alleged to have taken performance enhancing drugs. In the history of the game - hell, in the history of sports - can you show me any other example of someone going from four mediocre years to two amazing statistical years, at 35? Closest example that comes to my mind is Barry Bonds. Funny, that.
Dude... I think it's a bullshit report...and I agree with you about the lack of a papertrail or any hard eviedence for that matter... but to try and deny Clemens taking roids borders on insane...they just didn't prove it...doesn't mean he didn't do it... I just don't like an offical accusation from this MLB appointed committe on the word of a drug dealing rapist.... If you're going to destroy a legacy you better have more than hearsay
