The Globe asked Pats fans to predict the score of Sunday's game. There are over 65 pages of responses, most of them calling for a Pats win of 50 to 70 points. Predictable, but I did get fired up listening to these a-holes trying to turn things around on Mangini. God, I hope we kick Brady's ass. Here's a sample: Patriots 77; Jests 3. On the way, Brady throws his 50th TD, which just happens to be Moss' 23rd! This will happen in the first half. Jests get a bogus PI call which gives them first and goal at the one. This is how they get a FG. Then, with the score 70-3, 0:45 left on the clock in the 4th quarter, Brady airs it out to Moss for an 80 yard TD to break the NFL scoring record for a single team and the record for largest score differential (both 73, from the Bears beating the Skins 73-0 in the 1940 NFL Championship game)! The cameras will all be focused on BB, wanting to capture the after game handshake. But the media idiots are disappointed, as Mangini has already left the field in tears some time during the 3rd quarter!!! Message #14323.12 in response to #14323.2Posted by gator1918 on Dec-10 1:09 PM The only ones that will get knocked around are the J-E-T-S d-line. are you kidding man. wake up. Pats 54 J-E-T-S 3 Message #14323.13 pats 100 buggers 3, no really its' going to be some lopsided game they are going to play physicall and probably have some runs towards mangina hopefully one of our running backs can bust him in the mouth with a helmet or something, bellickeck please don't shake hands........... really Pats 55 Jets 10 Message #14323.14 PATS 38 JETS 17 (jets score late td to save face) Message #14323.15 If you thought the PATS were fired up about a "no-named" safety last week, imagine their intensity for this game. They will rub Mangini's face in the dirt. This will be the most lopsided victory in the history of the NFL. Who know's the final score??? 70-0 has a nice ring to it. 77-0 sounds better. Look Ma, no cameras!!!! Message #14323.16 Mangeni, bit the hand of the person that gave him his livelyhood, shame on him!!!!! He will PAY for that for as long as he is a coach against the Patriots and judging by the record he has, it wont be long. The Jets should change their name to the JOKES, because thats what they are. Message #14323.17 ha ha I love your comments. Jets to jokes.... Message #14323.18 Good one. The J-O-K-E-S JOKES, JOKES, JOKES. Opps. no one will be able to hear this chant. Did you see the stands Yesterday in the Meadowlands. Where have all the fans gone. BB will have his guys so fired up. IT TIME TO PAY THE PIPER, ERICA. Message #14323.19 I'm SO looking forward to watching this game! Predictions for score...hmmm....I'll have to say Brady breaks Manning's season TD record in this game and scores 5 TDs, plus a goal line rushing TD for Faulk or Maroney and a field goal for good measure....so all total.... Patriots 52 Jets 10...<----and that's only if the Patriots are feeling generous. lol Message #14323.20 TOM WILL break Peytons record in this game no doubt. PATS WIN HANDS DOWN. JETS have no chance.
This is great. 65 pages of bulletin board material for the Jets. I wonder if their bulletin board is a big one. Doesn't matter whether it's the team or the fans with the comments, it's the Jets against the world on Sunday.
WFC?? Seriously. Don't waste your time or energy on what people from New England think about this game. It isn't worth it. They are talking shit about beating a team that is 3-10. F*ckin' tools, the lot of them. Seriously.
65 pages and ill bet that only 6 of them know who andre tippett is, even less know anything about craig james or mosi tatupu, how about john stephens. there might be a grand total of 30 who actually pay enough attention during games to remember hearing the name irving fryar. patriots fans are not worth the time to argue with, they have only been fans for 7 years.
i just hope its very bad weather! those games are always fun to watch! anyway, i'm going to go out on a limb and predict a close game. provided our team has some fight left in them this season. i would bet my house that the pats dont score above 55, if it is a blow out. if its bad weather they wont score 35! little do all the patriots fans know, they are 1 QB injury away from not winning a playoff game and their dream season coming to an end. a pulled hammy by moss, would stop them from reaching the superbowl.
Last I reacll we were the ones that broke their streak for Home wins or someshit last year with a win in their house! After that, They changed the sod the same week! Yup we were dawgs, yup a different season but just like it's been said..... ANY GIVEN SUNDAY! Bring it Bitches!
you could say the same thing about the jets fan base!!! only you wouldn't be able to name enough star players to be remembered... no team has more wagon jumpers than the jets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the money Don Baby! If this game doesn't put a fire in the Jets bellies nothing will. I'm getting hyped for a game for the first time in ages!
Me too. I wasn't a week ago but since reading all the columns that have been written (all of them more bulletin board material) and all of the comments made I can't wait. This has to be the biggest game the Jets have played since SB3 when they were almost as big an underdog as they are now. I am sure Mangini has them frothing at the mouth for this game. You would think by everything written that there is only one team playing on Sunday and it's just a matter of what they want to do. This is a no-lose situation for the Jets. I can't wait to see what is written if this game is close or the Jets manage a win. All we need now is for Clemens to show up at some bar in Boston tonight, drink in hand, and guarantee a victory. Perfect.
This game is a total win-win for Jets fans. If we beat the Pats we keep our hated rival from making NFL history which is really not making history because the Fins already did it but it will reduce the overall suck up of BB by the media. If we keep it close it’s a moral victory. If we get a huge beat down we maintain martyr status as fans of the team that let BB get away and go to a divisional rival.
Weather or not, the Jets are not going to win this one. I think it will be a closer then the optimistic bloggers (34-10) My guess is that fan postings don't do much for charging up an opposing team. On a positive note, Pats fans will be cheering you guys on to win your last two. We want to keep our SF first round pick #2. Darren McFadden would fit in nicely, or perhaps they trade the pick for a LB or two for the future. Looking forward to the game....section 126
Don't think the Jet players aren't aware of all the BS being talked how they will get scrapped this week..They F**kin know..They will be fired up about it too..Hey Pat's fan enjoy the game in blizzard conditions and Kraft too cheap to make sure the parking lot is cleared..(its happened before) and Mulrooney(that dude is soft) the sissy get his ass kicked by Harris..After we beat you enjoy that 12 hour ride home in white out conditions...hahahahaha
The parking lot will be cleared...he built a friggin mall of stores in the parking lot. Come to Patriot's Place for all your Christmas needs. Hopefully your game plan goes beyond please snow.;-)
Oh there will be a ton of mall shoppers in a blizzard..Seems to be a bit of worry in your post Mr. Fourth ring..Take extra supplies lest you get stranded on Rte 1
The Pats won't score 4 TDs in the forecasted weather and it will be nearly impossible to kick any field goals in 60 mph swirling wind gusts. I see it being closer then that.
My colleague here, Don, quite rightly draws some parrarells with our SB win when we were the biggest underdogs in sports at the time. The spread being offered has the Jets at the biggest lose odds in NFL history. This all augres well for us Jets fans, Clemens has to have a breakout game soon and the best game Pennington ever played in a Jet jersey was at the razor in 2002 I think. I like our chances to cause an upset.
The only pareralls between the SB Jets against Baltimore and this Jets team against NE is how over rated both of the favorites were and are. Unlike this Jets team the SB Jets team had a superb OL and DL a solid running attack a great QB and 2 great WR who both could stretch the field. Because that team played in the AFL, there was no basis for a real comparison. Todays Jets clearly stink so I can't draw the parrell.
