Based on BPA and/or filling a need, Darren McFadden and Chris Long seem to be the top 2 choices of the majority of this board. If both of them are gone (no trade downs), what direction would you go in and why?

Dorsey and switch to a 4-3, Ellis and Coleman DE, Dorsey and Robertson DT, Vilma MLB, Barton and Harris OLB.

I know... I can keep dreaming

yeah, I'd love Dorsey and a switch back to the 4-3, even though I know it won't happen.

With who? Trading out of the top five is almost impossible unless of course McFadden is still there which the premise of this thread says won't be the case. Oakland and Detroit both tried last year and there were no takers.

How do you switch to a 4-3 with no pass rushing 4-3 ends????

this is tough one between Gholston and Dorsey.

Gholston?s combine will determine, where he?ll go in the 1st, as right now, he matches need+talent, but as long as he doesn?t have a great combine, i don?t feel that good about drafting him in the top 5.

Dorsey is a beast, and i think he would be a way better fit for a 34 DE in the NFL than Long is, but i?m not 100% sure if he?s able to adjust to that. If i?d know, that he could do so, he?d be my #1 overall choice. And he would give us the chance to switch back to 43 the next years if we should get a new HC.

Jake Long would be just flat out stupid, we got Brick, and even thou Long might become a better LT than Brick may, we went with Brick and can?t waste another top5 pick and top5 pick money. Get a RT somewhere else.

    I?d go with Dorsey.

All I'm saying is you listen to offers, you might get someone at the mid/ bottom of the first interested in one of the QBs. JMO

and this is what GMs abse their Trades on, no GM in this league will go away form that for more than 100-200 points. If Dallas for example ends up with a low and high twenties pick, they would have to give us their next years 1st on top to get to the top5.

here?s a little math example, i made some time ago, that should show you that trading down is highly unlikly

trading out of the top 10 with a top 5 pick is close to impossible.

Gholston might star in Beastmaster 2 if it ever come out. I would love to see him on our team. He will kill it in the combine and I hope we are looking at him. He is Jacked up city Utah

Thanks for the input, but I already know how the point system works. Simply gave an opinion. I'm not saying a trade is likely or possible, but I would certainly entertain offers.

I'd be fine with Jake Long or Gholston, but isn't Gholston projected to go in the 20's or something?

Long and D'Brick would make for a hell of a tackle pairing. Grab a young LG in FA to go with it and our O-line could be very good for a long time (assuming Long and D'Brick work out).

That was one of the most retarded posts I've ever read. Jacked up city Utah?

(By the way, there already was a Beastmaster 2...it comes on TNT at random hours of the night)

You can get a good RT in the second round, RT isn't an important enough of a position to use a top 5 pick on.

you mean that position where he sucked even more than he does right now?

@maglex, if we would find a trade partner in the mid rounds, that gives us the right value, that?s a nobrainer. But i can?t think of any scenario, where we would get the right value.
