Well, well, well, well, well. One, Belichick slept with what, his secretary? Yup, stand up guy you got there. Two, no one told any lies to the media. Obviously, there was nothing wrong with what the Jets did, otherwise, justifiably, there would be punishment. You do realize that ESPN deep throats any team from the New England region right? Our coach is a "dork"? Did you really just type that? Seriously? And um, yeah, it's really classy to say "we have a couplea super bowls to show for [cheating]". Massholes are clueless. I know, I know, stating the obvious, but still. What is in your water up there?
Actually. According to the rules, filming anywhere that doesn't have a covered roof is ILLEGAL. Been to Gilette before? If guy was in the mezzanine, that's uh... well... Cheating. And also I live in New York. I'm talking a little sh!t here. But the point stands: teams do this kind of thing. You guys and your asterisk talk is just sour grapes.
Sorry, Alio...you know I respect you, but this is grossly incorrect. ESPN and the Pats have been at war with each other since 2003. There is only one writer from the Boston area that spins things the Pats way, an obscure one that I forget his name... The big ones, Mortenson and the rest, despise the Patriots since BB flipped them the bird when they asked for an interview.
Which is erroneous, because it was the Jets head of security that confiscated the camera. Newsday .com Most people learned of the rules and consequences regarding videotaping from the sidelines from that season-opening situation. Jets security confiscated the camera and its contents, placed them in a sealed box and passed the evidence along to the NFL.
True, it was made to sound more dramatic than it was, but, there was nothing legal about that.... This article states (as a quiet little aside) that the Jets adhered to the rules by getting permission before planting the cameraman in the stands
Yet the Patriots deny giving permission. Given that Tannenbaum already clearly lied when he said there was "no truth" to the allegations that the Jets were filming the Patriots last year, I'm not sure I'd be so quick to trust their word that they "got permission." Give me a break. They "got permission" to film the Patriots in Gillette during a playoff game. That sounds like something Belichick would do.
Can you asterick last season's Jet's win in Gillette? Of course not! Just shows what a jole this whole camergate thing has been since the begining
It states that the Jets claimed they had permission. And yet, the cameraman was removed.... It also states the Jets claimed they never had a camera at the game. There is a little CYA going on here...
The difference between Bellishit and Mangini... Mangini stopped when the NFL told him too, Bellishit in his normal self rightous, pompous, arrogant manner, ignored the NFL. Before the NFL sent the memo, everyone did it. After the memo, it's cheating.
And... Stop saying that Mangini or the Jets turned Bellishit in. It has been widely reported that the NFL was responsible for busting the Pats.
Baron, sadly enough you are wrong.....if you have watched ESPN at all in the last few years, you would know what the fuck hes talking about..
I like the front page of Fox more. Where O'Connor compares Bellishit to Bonds. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7553930 "Before the Patriots beat the Steelers on Sunday to get to 13-0, a plane flew over Gillette Stadium with a banner that read, "Bonds 756*, Belichick 3 Super Bowl Wins*" "Like the home run king, Belichick is surly, humorless, and willing to cheat to get ahead. The coach hasn't inflated his genius with injections of steroids and human growth hormone, but he did instruct a flunky to film the losing signals sent in from the Jets' sideline — a move that made the Watergate break-in look brilliant and necessary in comparison." Pretty scathing stuff.
Belifraud was verbally admonished by Tagliabue over the Lions' game. Then, he was officially and formally warned in writing over the Packers game. As in, you are to not to do this ever again. So we get this new Commissioner, see, and the first thing this arrogant slob does is the same damn thing all over again. Don't care what the majority of NE fans say, but * means just that. With that in mind, *********************************. And then, ***************************. You don't say! Why,***************************************. So I says to him, I says **************************. *************************************************** Oh, look how pretty! They look like snowflakes! ************* It's a snowstorm! ************************************************************************* A Winter Wonderland! ************************************************************************************ EDIT: *******
Actually, you are correct, I do not watch ESPN anymore for the very reason I just stated. But, I am sure there is ballwashing going on...they are forced to given the Pats success.....but I am sure it is reluctant from many of them, and trust me when I tell you that they are rooting against the Pats and BB almost as fervently as you are, and there will be plenty of celebrating when BB's reign comes to an end.
I didn't know Mangini had two jobs. One as head coach of the Jets and a 2nd job as a Jets Head of Security. No wonder we're 3-10. Our HC shouldn't need a Part Time Job! Yo Woody! Give the man a raise!! He needs to feed his family!!
What do you expect from a NY sport writer?? Is this the same Occonor who attcked Rutger coach Shianno and got slammed for?? Am I suppose to be expect something good from a New Yorker about New England?
