Thats what im thinking but i just saw a piece on ESPN's sportscenter and they even brought it up. Thats when i decided to look this up.
...the NFL is trying to make us look like the bad guy because we aren't a good story like the Patriots. If we were contending for the playoffs and the Patriots weren't everyone would be all over them for cheating...if they weren't a dynasty, the NFL would've taken a lot more away from them than just a first rounder -- that they don't even need.
hmm..there is nothing illegal about filming if you have permission which that article clearly says the Jets had. What is illegal is filming defensive or offensive signals and then using that film to gain an advantage. I don't see anywhere in that article where anybody is accusing the Jets of that.

It's obvious ESPN is trying their best to help the Patsies shake the stigma. The way they reported the story on TV made it seem as we were cheating and they snuck in that we "had permission". Amazing how far up their ass ESPN is.
Gee. What a shock. Again, this was standard practice around the league, as I have stated before. It was always just handled by the stadium security and it was considered over with. If you were lucky, you got a few signals on tape that you can try to decipher before the security showed up. Until the Jets made a huge issue out of it, noone else in the league thought it was a big deal.
No, it says the Jets claimed they had permission, and yet the camera man was confronted and removed. Obviously they didn't. It also says the Jets claimed there was no videotaping whatsoever. That was obviously not true, since they later admitted they were. And everyone here wanted to know why the League wanted the story ended ASAP....is it becoming more obvious now? There was potential for many, many more teams getting dragged into this, and the commsioner didn't want that. Now, let's get back to actually playing the game, shall we?

Exactly. All teams did it - most admitted it, but for some reason Mangini (read: RAT BASTARD) decided to get the league involved. My theory is that the fat rat didn't think it was going to get that out of hand and did it for the mind game of it all. Then when the media and the league (with the excessive fine) took off with it - he regretted it. At that point though it was too late. From there the J(ust) E(nd) T(he) S(eason)s went into the tank, the Pats destroyed every team and now Mangini's job is on the line. None of this the little rat thought was going to happen, but it did and he will soon be lucky to coach pop warner. Mangini has been exposed as a liar (by cheating first), a backstabber, a rat and a not-ready-for-primetime coach (which is what Bill told him when he tooks the Jets job). Good luck with that guy, Jets fans.

The person who wrote this, and ESPN by mentioning it, was banking on the idea (the accurate idea) that the average idiot fan will read the first couple lines, and not read the entire story.... If you're an idiot, you get "The Jets cheated first!" out of that.... If you pay any attention you get nothing out of that... Pre-approved, legal filming, is not a story.... Nice try ESPN :wink:
You make it sound like the Jets official was sitting in row 11 seat 7 eating a hot dog. Every team in the NFL films from the stands. EVERY stadium has designated areas at approx. the 50 yard line and behind the endzone, that allow teams as well as the NFL to film from these locations....If the Jets were given permission to move to a different area that was "Designated" by the host team, there is NO issue. NFL policy in some form or antoher states you can NOT tape from the sidelines...
Which is exactly how the the original "spygate" story was handled, and you had no trouble swallowing that one...:rofl2:
