Don't get me wrong, I watch a little tv, (Heroes, LOST, and 24, plus Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with the kids each night.) I saw the Departed about 4 months ago, and I went to the movies to see Bourne over the summer. I just prefer to do things that stimulate me mentally. If I sit too long in front of moving pictures, without something to keep me occupied, I fall asleep.
Dude, cmon. Everybody gets into it but seriously... to let sports lower your self-esteem is just insane. Sure, maybe Pats posters over here (me) have attacked you sometimes or made fun of you, but sometimes you have to realize that an attack on your argument is not necessarily an attack on you, and sometimes you should realize that IT'S A FUCKING INTERNET FORUM AND IT DOESN'T MATTER.
I really didn't want this thread to take off like it did. And I do appreciate the kind words from alot of people. Admittedly, I was kind of overeacting... The Pats fans coming on here singling me out, and a pats fan on a plane ride i was on just yesterday calling me a "Fair weather fan" b/c of the attendance at the meadowlands on sunday...kinda made me freak out. Being an NY fan in N.E. lately has been flat out brutal...and rarely do I have anyone to have my back. For anyone who was offended by this post, or if I wasted anyone's time...I sincerely apologize. W/ all of that said...No matter how hard I'd like it...I cant escape my love of the jets. I went to lunch after my post..looked at my watch; it had the jets logo. Opened my wallet- it had a jets leather brand. Everyone knows me for BEING a jets fan. And I'll never be able to escape that fact. What I need is a break from sports...especially football. The Patriots STILL make me want to vomit. I think getting away from it for awhile will kind of simmer me down. I'll also contact mistermoss about possibly resuming my MOD position sometime around draft time. Again, I thank everyone for their support...I did NOT want this to be a spectacle...and if anyone feels that was my intent..or were annoyed by all of this...I apologize.

I know it's a bit selfish, but I'm really gonna miss your TC reports and your posting in general. I don't want to tell you how to be a fan, but couldn't you just tone down the intensity or something? I mean, my roommate is a goddamn Patsy fan, and he rags on the Jets every Sunday. Over the years, I just learn to laugh it off and poke fun of it myself. This can't last forever, can it? The Jets will eventually one up those bastards some day, and then we'll get our time in the sun. It seems football has become more of a lifestyle than a hobby for you, though. I'd really hate to see you go.
It's just going to make it that much sweeter when it all comes crashing down. I invest a lot emotionally into the jets aswell, but when you get down like this year, you just have to focus on other shit. I know you live in NE, but don't let those guys get you down. Look, their obnoxious, but its not personal. We'd be doing the same shit if there teams were trash and we had the GOAT tom brady on our squad, and held the number 2 draft pick. You might want to put away that watch, and skip sportscenter at night for the rest of the season and focus on the finer things in life. For me, I like to work out or just smoke an L and chill at my girls apartment and pretend im overly depressed so she pampers me. Either way, FOCUS ON THE FINER THINGS. Sports are great, but focus on the finer things my man...
Ahh this is crap. Seriously, all of you are consoling him like he's been victimized, but really, he has to grow up. Go to the "Patriots are next..." thread. Kurt had to bring the negativity into the thread, saying things like, "break his spine in half for all i care" and this http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=713616&postcount=35. If this was from any regular poster it would be "what a whining piece of ####. Ban him." Kurt's not looking for any consolation, and nor should we be giving him any.
