You lost the game for your team today with that call on the kick off. You kick it deep, call your three time outs, and take the ball down by one with good field position. Im drunk as hell and i think i could have called a better game. Lets just hire a retarded person to run our team because you can't do much better. You make me sick. You make me tired. You make the entire country laugh at and hate the Jets. You make my asshole stink on monday mornings. That call was trash Mangini. Your team is 3-10 and it is your fault. No the game was lost when we couldn't score from the 1 freaking yard line early in the game. 1 freaking yard is all the offense had to get and they couldn't do it but everyone's rocket arm QB Clemens can throw a nice hard INT on the goal line. He had no choice to kick the FG when your team can't get you one yard on 3 plays, you can't actually think they'll get you 10 with the game on the line. He turned to the most trusted player he has and its sad to say but its our kicker!!
The game was lost when Mangini didn't challenge a clear TD by Clemens that was shown 5 different times on the big board at the stadium instead relying on Thomas Jones to try to score another oh so elusive rushing TD. The further kick in the balls was the ridiculous challenge of the Browns 4th down play later in the half that had no chance of being overturned and cost the Jets a critical time out. This guy is a terrible coach.
You make a good point about the rocket armmed qb throwing that pick Interesting Chad comparision. Chad threw his first pick in the REDZONE last year. His 6th year in the league

Zing!!!!!!!! Time to clean house with this awful staff of management and coaches. Fire Tannenbaum for drafting this stiff at Left tackle. Fire Schottenheimer for calling the fade play in the endzone every week. Fire Mangini for sucking more at in-game calls than Herm Edwards at managing the clock.

I can. That's not even what this is about. There was no risk involved here. It was going to be overturned. You can't take points off the board. Sure, 9 out of 10 times they probably go on to score anyway but this time they didn't and it really cost the team. Why not challenge the play? Because you're worried about "saving" your challenges?
I only saw the play in real-time and missed out on the replays (if there were any). If it is as you say, that it was an obvious clear-cut TD...then yeah, Mangini blew it. However, if it was even a bit doubtful, then why risk losing a timeout when you have 3 chances to go 1 yard (which should have been a given)? He's made dumber mistakes in the game.
If he was talking about the Clemmens sneak that gave the Jets the ball @ the 1 then yes he blew it by not challenging it. I saw it once and knew it was a TD. I woke my kid up yelling at Mangini for not challenging. As far the spread... good it will make me even happier when I collect my money line bet. Keep those bets coming on the Pats.
I don't care he sucks. 17 allowed sacks in 29 games. 4th overall pick is supposed to be the next great left tackle. He sucks. I don't want to hear the complaining about there not being a good guy to the right of him at left guard. This guy was hyped up to be the next Orlando Pace or Jonathan Ogden. He should be the one making the guy at left guard looking better.
