This was the dumbest playcall that I've ever seen. It is like trying to use calculus to solve a 1+2 problem.
That is the only way i can see it too...he just cant stand the fact that BB will pick before he does...I'm sorry but i can't simply believe he thought that was our best shot at a win...this man loves the freaking draft and would rather lose out than pick lower....
I think the CS was looking forward to the draft after week 4, since thats the way they have been coaching
I can't make a new post so i'll just post this here I guess but KERRY RHODES APPRECIATION. This dude is the REAL DEAL. BIG TIME playmaker.
Rhodes is awesome. Bradway gets a ton of credit for this one. He's doing well in spite of the crap that Mangini and Tannenbaum have put in front of him in the front 7. At least it looks like the players are happy.
Even the tough the end of the game was disappointing, it still boils down to the same theme as all year: we were dominated most of the game on the offensive line, and our defense blew. Clemens has got to stop throwing those blooper passes, too. He is throwing too many of them. End analysis: We suck and will lose miserably to New England next week in the worst humliation and ass-kicking a team could ever hope to have happen to them!!!!!!!!!!! 52-3
Like I have said in different posts, Mangini is still working for the Pats, that's the only way I can figure out why there is so much stupid playcalling.
He definitely seems like he has to be one of the best athletes on this team. The guy makes some incredible physical plays and has great ball hawking instincts. I think if he were in a better defense he would be viewed popularly as one of the best safeties in the league period.
Did the Jets set an NFL record today for most FGs and onside kicks in the last 2 minutes of a game?????? I am at a loss to understand why "Mangenius" couldn't figure out that the Jets eventually had to put the ball in the end zone and that an onside kick is not a high percentage play. At least it turned a boring game into something interesting - not fun or exciting, just interesting - like watching the luggage bubble on another car open up and have their luggage fly all over the highway while you are in the middle or a long boring car ride.
That was the right call. I was calling for the FG on that 4th down. I had ZERO confidence in the jets ability to convert on 4th down, so cutting the lead to 2 with 3 timeouts was the right move. Mangini knew that this team wasn't gonna get that first down, good call. The D just didn't show up and force a punt on the browns next possession.
