Granted, he's not the biggest football fan, but I found it funny that my Dad was able to accurately describe Clemens with just one viewing. Im thinking we use our first pick on a QB. Who might be available?
no offense to your father, but he obviously does not understand pass protection, not being a football fan. He throws a good ball, and hes not going to lead anyone anywhere in his 1st year as a starter. Patience with QBs-- they arent great immediately-- look at peyton, look at Farve, even Romo had a crappy end of his 1st year. One viewing on any QB, you cannot make an accurate description.
I'm REALLY up in the air on this issue. If Clemens isn't the right guy, we could spent the next four years trying to figure that out. And, by the way, I always liked your first avatar. I found it hypnotic.
Clemens wasn't a first round pick and I doubt they have so much tied into him in regards to money, however Clemens should get all of 2008.
Well if your dad knew, that OUR PLAYMAKING is what sucks.. not clemens. Our OC has the worst plays...what the hell was with that floater to the sideline. UTILIZE KC's arm strength damn it!, hes not pennington...not to mention our offensive line blows.
I have no idea if Clemens is going to be the guy or not, however I'm not prepared to judge him negatively yet with such a crappy line in front of him and with the Jet's best receivers hobbled. Clemens could be quite a decent starting-caliber NFL QB and if the Jets can't fix the line in a big way this offseason we'll never know. Similarly we could spend the 5 pick on Brian Brohm next season and watch him absolutely disintegrate behind one of the NFL's really terrible lines. I have no faith at all in the current regime. Putting this kind of offensive line on the field was just total lack of preparation on their part. Exacerbating the situation by running Kendall out of town without an adequate backup plan? Pure lunacy. I suspect we'll see Mangini and company gone before too long.
Our CS is calling plays that are not the strength of whatever players we have. I think they realize that any more wins takes us out of drafting from a hand of strength. Aside from Rhodes, Harris, and maybe Revis, we need many players. 37 years of this crap.
He has the potential, but he isn't impressing me at all. I am pretty dissapointed with his inability to make smart throws.
Yea, that guy would probably be better then anything we've had on the field this year. I was serious about Flacco though, I'd love to get this guy if he was available at a reasonable spot.
Clemens is just not that good. Certainly not the future of this team. The O line has gotten better,he still makes bad throws.
