the 49ers trade didnt even look good at the time.... the term buddy fucker comes to mind...granted other teams aren't exactly your buddy, but come on San Fran...you can't just hand over a pick to new england like that an example of a pick used wisely in that situation.....indy trading their first to SF this year you can do it when you are a good team...not san fran
The 49ers trade was pretty bad, but everyone thought they would be in the playoff hunt this year, Smith's injury, the O-line collapse and they awful playcalling on offense all killed them. Staley has actually been their best lineman, he's played quite well at RT So their analysis of him as a good NFL ready player was fine. and that's worth a pick where they thought they would be. Things just fell apart on them.
Well eventually No NFL franchise is gonna be willing to deal w/ the Pats. The trades always come back to bite them...
Who would have thought that the 49er fans would want Norv Turner back already and Charger fans can't get rid of him fast enough. The guy is a terrible HC but one of the best OC's of this generation. Shame on AJ Smith for ruining the Chargers by bringing him in. Norv Turner destroyed 2 franchises with one swift move down I-5. I watched the end of the 49er/Cardinal game and thank god the 9ers lucked out so now I guess the Pats are picking behind us now. Maybe they can steal a few more because that was highway robbery the way they won yesterday but glad they won.
Everyone thought the 49ers nailed it on draft day last year and the Browns blew it (as far as trading picks). Those guys couldn't have been more wrong. It looks like Cleveland will give up a pick in the 20s for a franchise caliber quarterback.
...and they don't even need that franchise caliber quarterback anymore. Derek Anderson looks like he is their franchise now. Quinn could be traded for AGAIN and the Browns could get a decent pick in the first round for him...someone always needs a QB.

Phillip Rivers was a little different situation as he was the 4th overall pick and got about a 15 mil SB I think Quinn only got a 3 mil SB over 5 yrs and thats the only money that counts towards the cap if you are traded. He has alot of playing time incentives for the 2010 and 2011 seasons but its not really that bad of a cap hit if they traded him this year. But as someone said who wants Quinn?
Were back down to the 5th pick, but I think well end up with the 3rd or 4th. The 9ers could get a couple of wins in the NFC.. The raiders did a good job winning today and the Rams are probably going to go a little roll. The Dolphins probably locked up the 1st and I think the Falcons are probably done.
Huh, I think we will wind up 6-8. I think we will beat KC, and win one of the games against Tenn and Cleveland at least.
I hope we win a couple more games as well... Best case scenario would be to end up with the 8th pick or so and take Gholston.
My fault, I get what you mean. But I do expect the Jets to win one or two more games of the last four. It's just I think that teams like the Rams, Raiders, Bengals, and Chiefs can win one or two more too. Rooting for your team to lose sucks..... I root for the other bad teams to win. That's all I'm saying.
