this weekend t.o. will have a much bigger game, than against the jets. his stats will no doubt increase and the revis lovers will try to say he is better than woodson or harris. any takers on the argument? i'll even go out on a limb and say they will also shade a safety, like the jets did, and possibly try to limit him. this game should be very interesting to watch as a sign of comparison of revis and all other excellent, league, defensive backs. revis still has a long way to go in the playmaking department, compared to other top flight db's. P.S. the parcells and mortenson comments were just comments toward hope for the jets. there is no way they, (as football analystis) saw revis locking down t.o. all game, with dallas intent on not having to throw to him 10 or more times. watch owens this weekend, you'll see my point, or i'll eat my words.
revis bitched TO of the lines a few times. i was shocked. i didnt think revis would be able to handle TO's strength at all
yes he did, and i personally didnt think that he or many others in the league could do that. i personally dislike owens, but he is a strong man, and hard to cover.
your opinion i guess, which you are entitled to. maybe i offended you in some way? funny avatar though.
No doubt about it Revis did a hell of a job limiting T.O. to just a average game. He did give up that TD too Owens but it was decently covered just a A+ Pass by Romo.
No not offended... but why would we care about T.O. vs. the Packers? Revis had a hell of a game against the leagues best WR, gotta at least give him some credit there esp. being a rookie. Up until the meaningless 4th Q TD... Revis held TO to 43 reception yards for the entire game, sounds pretty good to me. Just wondering if you saw that TD too... totally undefendable.
well if what you saw is good enough for yourself, then believe it. comparing revis's previous assignments to the ones playing those assignments this week is a good measuring stick for our young talent, if you can see beyond what you believe. revis did the best he could i guess.
Ok your right... Revis should have held T.O. to 0 receptions for 0 Yards and 3 interceptions. Sorry for disturbing your thread. But even with those stats we would have to compare the GB game because im sure the better DB would have AT LEAST one TD of one of those INTS. And again... sorry and please proceed with your discussion.
the cowboys did not under any circumstance of the game have to go to, its go to receiver. holes were easily found elsewhere. revis did not lock down owens, and to belive so is "sunshine." belive what you want.
when the mangini regime goes down, your threads from then on will be folly, like yours today, so i guess there is no difference either way. you may be the biggest sunshiner on this site. i guess you are also a troll? truth be known you just hate my negative mangini outlook, along with the lack of praise for players not worthy of being called elite.
show me all my posts that prove me to be a sunshiner? I would LOOOOOVE to see this....your as clueless as you make yourself out to be... besides predicting the Jets beating the Steelers, oh BTW I was right.... EDIT: which thread did I start today? ANother Durrrrr moment in the life TrollBruner12. I dont hate just your outlook, I hate anyones negative outlook and incessant pessimistic attitude that is spurred on mainly by emotion...I am far from a sunshiner, as well as a darksider...its called being a REALIST. If you cant contend with reality, you might as well give up on life.
All in all, our D played a good game against the Cowboys. If only our offense could have held the ball for a little bit to keep their O on the bench we might have kept it close. O well.
Revis compared to Al Harris? I don't think so. Harris will be on T.O. tomorrow. My money is that Revis won't come close to Harris' personal best of playing in 154 straight games to-date. No offense (no pun intended), but let's see how he does in a few years.
