Hopefully this guy is caught. Aren't the police looking for the people who shot Darren Williams (I think thats his name, Bronco corner who was killed in a drive by shooting a few days after the season ended last year) as well? Hopefully his killers are caught and he is able to rest in peace. On a side note, does the NFL PA try to create a safer enviroment for the players in their homes? Like mandatory high-end security systems and what not? Also with this being in Miami, do you think CSI: Miami will do an episode on this?
The thing with this is even if they find out the details of this story (they probably know more than they've said already) I doubt the public will ever know the full story. In any case this is just an awfully sad day. I go to the U and just walking to class today everyone seemed really somber and I overheard two cellphone conversations about this. Just awful..
If it was a personal thing - why shoot the guy in the leg? Maybe it was meant to be a warning and just caught the artery? Maybe he was aiming for the crown jewels?
This is my guess...strictly just speculation on my part. My guess, is some friend he had needed money...Possibly for a drug addiction that Taylor wanted no part of because it would affect his career. The guy got p*ssed and decided to take a shot at his legs which would affect his career. Just my own guess on what happened based on very limited information. But it does seem that the killer knew Taylor. Why would they attempt to break in several times even leaving a knife on a bed? Now the other thing is Taylor may have just caught the killer by surprise and the killer randomly shot twice once hitting Taylor in the leg. That could have just as easily happened as well.
there's plenty on the left who are in favor of the 2nd amendment as well... but I don't want to make this political... it's a horrible tradgedy...

The killer broke into the bedroom where he, his girl friend and daughter all were. He had just locked the door. He may have been shot in the leg because he jumped. A second shot was fired and hit the wall. Then whoever it was just ran. The girl friend was hiding under the covers and didn't see a thing. She doesn't even know if there were one or more then one involved. It seems to me there may have been more then one. If you just shot somebody why would you leave a knife on the bed and why would you have one to begin with if you had a gun?
Yeah, I just read that he was shot in his bedroom. They left a knife on the bed during a break in about a week earlier. Sounds like it was left there to send a message. This was no random crime
The knife was left on the bed from the break-in last week. this is being investigated as a deliberate attack, not a robbery/burglary, but I dont have much confidence in the Miami/dade P.D. they still havent caught the dude who killed Bryan Pata last year. it probably goes back to the incident that Taylor was involved with a couple of years ago. Some punks were jealous of his success and targeted him, and still had an old grudge against him. They stole his vehicle a couple of years ago, he went after them, got in trouble for it, and they came back at him.
I don't even know what to say. His family will be in my prayers, goodbye to one of my favorite players of all time. RIP
