My first Jets game will be on December 9th (vs. Browns).
I was looking for some advice on tailgating.
When to get there (we are coming from Nassau County Long Island), things I need to bring that a rookie would forget, any rules on alcohol or food in the parking lot? Places to urinate while tailgating? advice on things to bring into the stadium, how to dress in December for sitting in the Meadowlands (is a ski mask over doing it?). Pretty much any info you guys can give me, I like to be overly prepared and would like to know what to expect. Go easy on me, I'm rookie....

First time there? My advice is go to gate D and ask women to take of their shirts. Don't worry about all the added security at that gate, they are there for the show too!

HAHA, me and my buddy will be with our girl friends. We're in our early-mid 20's. I don't want them to be raped like how CNN made gate D sound.

Sorry everyone is givin you sarcastic responses (including me). I'd help you out but I usually go to one or two games a year with my friend who is a season ticket holder, and we tailgate in the lot by the 1050 ESPN Radio Bubble. It's pretty nice. Not sure of the lot number tho.

Not sure bout the rules. I think all food is fine, you might have to keep alcohol in cups, or that might just be a NY thing.

There are portojohns to use for the tailgaters along the main road that enters the parking lot. Pretty packed I'd assume.

It will probably be in 30s in December, so you decide what would keep you warm in that weather. I've never worn a ski mask to a game but whatever keeps you warm... you can always take it off... at gate D ;)

This is tough season for your first game. My advice just demonstrate good sportsmanship and don't act like a jerk..

I went to my first game last week against the Steelers. Had a great time, just one asshole Steeler fan that wouldn't sit down all game, but a Jet fan took care of him. He was eating the concrete steps in the 3rd qtr...

    WTF?!?!

THIS is what you've been been spamming the hell out of the board to talk about?

I had formerly hoped your ISP would drop you as a customer. Now I hope you lose your ticket while visiting the Port-O-Potty before the game, get arrested for public drunkeness, and your girlfriend not only parties at Gate D, but also leaves with another guy.

I knew you would have absolutely nothing constructive to share with the group. Thanks for proving me right.

Jet games must be getting real ugly. I have been to a bunch of games but most of them have been during times when the team was halfway decent. Can't imagine how unruly that crowd gets when the team is playing this poorly.

By the way do they still have that one area where drunken idiots like to try to spit down on people? Does anyone know where I'm talking about?
