 you see the interview with wes welker? Worst interview ever. Most of his replies consisted of "and uh" and "you know", and he totally ignored what Andrea Kremer was asking him. Then he cut the interview short and claimed Belichick was calling him over for a reach around or something. Wow. Doesn't get any worse than that.
We are. And it is a treat to see my team try and make history. I doubt we'll do it, but I can't tell you just how much fun it is to win. Yeah, I'm spoiled by Boston sports right, so what.
Just remember something though... The "Same old sorry ass rams" syndrome is all too real. All the teams you've beaten on over the last 5 years or so...ARE gonna get better...and lets face it...eventually this ride WILL come to an end... Jets, Phins, Bills and many other teams AND fanbases will not forget the beatdowns and frankly, some of the tactics your fanbase has displayed. Enjoy the ride while it lasts.
So what. I'll worry about the future when it comes. Of course it will end. These are our glory years. I'm enjoying virtually all my teams winning. It's amazing. I have no desire to rub it in or be a jerk about it, but I love watching it. It's a lot of fun.
It must be nice. Aside from the Late 90's Yanks when i wasnt even a big baseball fan..and Uconn basketball, where everyone I know is ALSO a fan...Ive never experienced a real feeling of triumph in sports. You look at cities like Philly, Cleveland, and even alot of the NY teams, that may never see even one championship... Just dont ever take for granted what you're witnessing...
Are you kidding? W/ all the abuse ive taken for being a Jets fan in this area over the years(And it's been Giants fans too) I dont care if I'm 70 years old...The very thought of a Jets super bowl...and a little "F.U. Redemption" is far more appealing to me than a shallow switching of teams, one of which Ive hated for the better part of 20+ years.
It is so amazing. I was just talking about this with my cousin. We are the perfect age to appreciate this and I know I may never see it again. I am not taking it for granted. Aside from how much fun it is to watch, it really has made a special bond between my relatives and friends alike. (And yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds, lol.)
they mentioned it and even did a game summary of that game complete with highlights. 29-28 upset edit: heh, murrell beat me to it
I think this is what was going through Welker's head: "uh you know I'm making myself look like an idiot on national tv. you know I'll just tell her I have to give Coach a well-deserved blowjob. He's you know a lot prettier than she is." The last part came out of his mouth accidentally.
I think the Pats offense is really close to what Texas Tech does. This is why Welker is so good in it. But I think that teams are starting to figure it out. Also, the Pats D let Feeley throw all over them. I definately think the Steelers can beat them.
Thanks captain obvious...Will it really come to an end someday? Can't you come up with something better than that?
Nobody hates the Patriots more than me but I have to say that this was the first game this season where I actually respected the Pats for pulling off a tough win in a sportsmanlike way. Of course, there was that moment when Gaffney did the mocking Eagles wing flap. Why would he do that? He's Jabar Gaffney! He's a nobody. What grudge could he have against the Eagles? The Pats have beaten the Eagles every time in their recent run of success. Just more of the asshole-ish behavior we've come to expect from this Pats team. But, overall, it was a great game.
The Eagles showed the rest of the NFL how to play them. If more teams get aggressive on defense they will lose and maybe more then once before this year is over. It's not like the Eagles were anywhere near the best team they have played this year, or will play between now and the end of the season. Everybody else has been willing to sit back and let Brady throw to the expected results.
Could be. I don't think we'll pull off an undefeated season, but I also think we are a team that makes adjustments. I am sure Belichick will dissect the film and learn from it. Either way it was a great game. Philly played a heck of a game.
I'm torn on how I feel about the Pat's going undefeated this year. On the one hand I'm rooting for them so the Dophins will shut the hell up about 1972, and on the other...well you know.
I guess you didn't see Greg Lewis mocking Randy Moss after a td catch. Yeah Greg Lewis is Jerry Rice.
I'm not sure I agree. The Patriots played a sort of wierd, inside-out defense compared to what they normally do. Normally, they play the receivers on the inside, forcing the receivers between the CB and out of bounds. They played outside in this game (and were torched for it) They were dropping LB's into coverage, while at the same time blitzing with safeties. The Pats moved Moss to the right side, instead of his normal left, and made him come across the field for catches, where his strength is post routes. Philly played one hell of a good game, and deserves a ton of credit, but I'm not sure their game plan will work again, for someone else.
