I've seen him play once and was very impressed. He has a non-stop motor, can dominate blockers and has a nose for the ball. His energy level alone would bring something to our defense it seems to be lacking. Intensity like his is contagious.

A lot of people say he'll be undersized for a 3-4 DE in the NFL, who knows?

Long is a great and probably No. 1 on our list, but I'm not entirely impressed with his play so far against Virginia Tech. This year has proved that we have so many holes we should try to collect two 1st rounders and/or other day one picks. However, if we do draft Long this is how we'd be set up for the next 7 years:

    DE Chris Long
    MLB David Harris
    CB Darelle Revis
    S Kerry Rhodes

    Not terrible.

I have only watched bits and pieces of the game but he is getting constant double teams and still seems to get a great pass rush.. 12 sacks, 17 tackle for losses .. the guy is a beast

Yea I've noticed the double teams and that they're also running away from him. I don't know, double-teams is what happened to D-Rob once he became a Jet. Long is highly regarded coming into the draft, even more so than his father, according to Gil Brandt FWIW.

Watching the VaTech/UVA game now and the kid is dominant. Think they said they retired his # today.
