OK...just saw the Fox piece. They had a 5 person panel (3 woman, 2 men) debating the "Jets Ramp D" half time tradition, showing numerous "u-tube" type blurry clips. Damn piece went on for 10 minutes. One "analysist" (a guy) couldn't stop smerking and laughing while trying to say has despicable is was. The whole panel yucked it up and generraly had favorable with some un-favorable takes. Summary: This "non family values" stuff goes on in every stadium (Radiers black hole, Yankees right field bleachers, etc) and is harmless fun that families should avoide for abvious reasons. But- if left "tottaly unchecked" it could lead to sexual violence.
Discussion/Debate is great, but I thought personal attacks weren't tolerated? (i.e. the masochist and a few others). Anyway, I don't exactly agree with you - but I do agree that the bottle throwing and spitting is ridiculous and shouldn't be tolerated. But I don't understand why some people are so uptight about the rest of it. I'll put another spin on it. I can't count the number of times at football stadiums (and other places as well) that women go into the men's bathrooms because they don't want to wait on the long lines in the women's restroom. Yet we never hear anything about this as being lewd behavior or security threatning to arrest/eject them for doing so. I personally could care less because I'm not an uptight person. Further, one time when 2 women entered the mens room, the men started the show your tits chant. Some guy in the room yelled back to stop the chant because his 12 year old son was in there. But he never asked the women to leave the rest room. So I guess it's OK for the women to be in the mens room, but his son shouldn't be subject to the word tits or to see them possibly flash? I don't get some people here in the United States of the Offended.
Next personal attack or name calling gets time off. Some of you call others "trash" yet you can not from an argument without calling names. Classy.

yeah, I'm sure the girl who had beer bottles thrown at her and was spit out absolutely LOVED the attention she got. There really is absolutely no reason for this.
I have never in the four years of this happening seen beer thrown at a girl, they throw it down the to the bottem, but never has a girl (in my expierience) had beer thrown at them, just some sarcastic boos. I have to admit the old ritual was even funnier when everyone would throw money to the bottem of the pit and wait for the one moron who trys to go in and pik it up, then we poor beer on him. now that was funny.
Just because you are at a Football stadium doesn't give you the right to act like an animal. Period. Is it okay to do this at the mall? A resturaunt? A park or at the movie theatre? The rest of your argument really isn't the same. But I'll answer anyway, no women should not be going into the mens room to use the bathroom. They should wait in line for the ladies room. But I have never seen it happen, so I cannot imagine it happens often.
its usually not that bad and the bottle throwing is directed at opposing fans 99% of the time. actually i remember during the pats game this year, a pats fan was working up the crowd and this one guy threw a 3/4 full beer, the pats fan caught it and chugged it, an everyone cheered regardless of jersey color. the point is its not that bad and the real loser is the idiot who threw away 7 bucks worth of beer. as far a spitting goes, never seen it and i have been going to the gate d spirals for 4 years now (my seats are right by them)
uh-huh...so you are right there every game. So what did you do, or anyone else do when these morons started spitting and throwing bottles at the women? Any say anything? Anyone get their asses kicked? Anyone call security? Yes I can see how that is hilarious. Like I said if I was there, and they did that shit to my sister or girlfriend people would in the hospital. And if no one did anything when the spit and bottles started flying everyone there was not only condoning the lewd behavior/catcalling, but they are also condoning physically assaulting women.
Well another black eye for the jets and their fans. For people who sit here and are actually defending this behavior, you cant be serious! Now look i do see it as fun and humor and yes i understand that no one is forcing these girls to pull their shirts up as the youtube clips show us BUT you have to look at this on the other side #1 There are young kids who attend these events (dont be a wiseass cause you were young too and im sure daddy brought you to some of the these games) who shouldnt be subject to this behavior! #2 I'm sure their are women who choose NOT to show their TITS but they shouldnt be subject to beer thrown at them and spitted on. #3 I have a GF that i bring to about half of the games (who has a nice set of tits) and i wouldnt want her nor would i LET HER show her tits. So then what happens ? Well then im put in a position to defend her and myself resulting in either getting into a fight or throw out because some jerk off deicded he wanted to throw beer at her cause she chooses not to show her tits! I am making my stance known. I have and will always support the T-I-T-S TITS TITS TITS chants at gate D. I feel that, A) young children shouldnt be hanging out in that spot. B) any girl who does it deserves whats coming to her, and C) i have never seen any girl get hit with a foreign object or spit on.
Never saw someone throw beer or spit at a women in 27 years. It just for laughs if you ask me. Everyone cheers and laughs. No one forces anything on anyone. Good fun. Take escalator or stay in your seats at halftime if you have a kid of g/f.
