Man I'm not even gonna hate on the Pats for this. What they're doing is exactly what I'd like the Jets to do... Absolutely obliterate the entire league, set records, run the table. It sickens me that it's the Pats doing it tho.
How is Scoring with more than half the game remaining Classless ? Heres a novel Idea , How about somebody actual shows up and stops them. I'll tell you whats classless-- Wishing injuries on anybody.
People who just want to hate the Pats aren't going to see any logic like this. They just want to hate and hope people get hurt. The fact taht you can't stop playing with half the game to go doesn't register with these folks... ....on the other hand, if the Pats ended up losing after having a 28-7 lead at halftime, they would be delighted and talk about how much they suck. So...to score at halftime is classless and running it up. Remember that.
At least you acknowledge that it is not classy to wish players to be put in the hospital. Many fans here think that is really classy.
F**K that. I hate to say it, but the NFL deserves what its getting. Remember, it was the NFL, in response to the Patriots domination of the Colts, in order to propel Mannings rising star, that changed the rules regarding DB play to favor the offense..... Now Belichick has decided to exploit said rules change by getting faster, and stronger down the field, and no one likes it...? I am as big a Jets fan as there is, but thats the way the game is played. I also hope, that they go undefeated so those arrogant Jerk off pre salary cap 72 dolphins will go the f**k away. Its still 11 on 11. Figure out a scheme to stop them....It's football, not rocket science... (maybe you take a LB out side, to hit randy moss at the Line every down, and use a CB to blitz all day....whatever it takes...) Its 11 on 11, and at least 6 of their guys, are stuck at the Line of Scrimmage fcol....
I would be shocked if Mangini plays a reg def scheme. 1 OR 2DL 1 LB 2 SAFETIES 6/7 DB'S in man/zone scheme. Yes, will they be able to run at will? of course...Can you socre 45 that way... probably not.
Riiiiiiight.... Nobody here thinks wishing injury on a player is classy.... Just about everyone has acknowledged that they know it's a scumbag thing to say... It's more of the wanting to have faith in the idea of 'karma' that brings these thoughts about.... Things in this world are supposed to balance out... When a team FULL of assholes goes out of their way to embarrass just about everyone else they play, using the 'they caught us cheating, that's disrespectful' line as motivation, as humans, we naturally want it to balance out... That is, unless you're a Masshole, and you're too busy fondling Brady's junk to notice this sort of thing
I will not be on record as one rooting for injuries... W/ that said, I do believe if the Patriots are gonna show such malice and lack of respect for everyone in the league, all b/c they got caught cheating...than by all means..teams should show a lack of respect back.Turn it into a 10 year old's Madden game. - Go for it on every 4th down/refuse to punt - Run constant trick plays and several Hail mary's - on side kick every chance they get - Mix and match between all out blitzes and Prevent packages - And most of all...if Brady gets hit late...no love lost.. The Patriots LIVE for the "No respect" bill..no matter HOW untrue that is, w/ the media obsession and overall Boston bias. If they're gonna claim no respect...teams shouldnt GIVE them any respect. Turn the game into a mockery....Very soon the legitimacy of their claim to football fame will follow.
Stop crying and start making money on the machine like I do. It makes them running up the score enjoyable.
 How many points did you give? I think they havee covered every spread except the Colts game, right? Do they still ahve a 16 1/2 point cap on the spread?
15.5 They have covered every one except the Colts, correct. There's no "cap" on the spread and I actually started a conversation yesterday about when vegas was going to go over 20 with the Pats. Hopefully never.
Glad you're makin a buck, Willie. IF they go over 20 on the spread, it'll be against the Jets in Foxboro. That would be the only game I could see them going that far out on. The other teams remaing all have reasonably good defenses.
don't be surprised if the Jets play them close.... Don't think we'll win but I think the team is motivated.... we'll see how the next few game go...
It's the only way to make this season bearable. If they're going to be this good and vegas is going to refuse to give them NCAA like spreads, I'm going to cash out.
I didn't mean it as a dig, I also forgot about the Miami game. Those are the only 2 I see maybe breaking 20 on the spread, but I think that's unlikely, in any case.
Price of Beer and Snacks for Sunday game... 25$ Indoor temperature at Game time ... 75 Degrees Cash netted from sales of tickets 75$ per Watching Steelers fans freeze in the stands, after a 5 hour drive, as their team gets exposed by a 1-8 opponent....Priceless!
