    I think that Cincinatti wants to dump Chad Johnson.

    I love L. Coles as a player, warrior and receiver. However, part of the Pats success has been in getting rid of players a "year early" I think we need to do that with Coles for several reasons:

    1. Concussion issues
    2. Chad loyalty
    3. Mangini

    So I propose a Coles for Johnson trade. I do not think Johnson is a bad apple, just outspoken, but could fit in here and do well. I think it solves a problem for both teams. We would probably need to add say a fifth, but I think this would be a great (and realistic) trade for us.

    Thoughts?

    Yeah that's gotta be one of the silliest ideas i've heard so far. The Bengals wouldn't go for that trade and I don't think we should either. Receiver isn't our problem, though I think we need a tall elite receiver that can win the jump ball and stretch the field. Our problem has been and remains to this day, getting a QB that can throw the ball long and getting an offensive line that can set up the running game to give us the opportunity to pass the ball more efficiently.

    why would anyone trade chad johnson for coles? if they did trade johnson I think they may want a defensive player in return since they have absolutely no defense. no?

    Watch out people are going to tell you Coles is better than Chad Johnson now. I don't see why Cincinatti would want to make a trade like this though, and I wouldn't want to give up much more considering our more glaring needs.

    I think you will find that WR will become a big problem for us in a year or two if we do not trade for WR talent, or draft some high in the draft. Getting Kellen more talent on offense is another way to help the defense, by the way. Our defense is terrible this year, but a lot of it is because they get tired and beat in the fourth quarter because our offense sucks.

    If we do not move Coles, we will likely get only one more year from him if that.

    I think C.Johnson is a great WR and it seems that he's pretty much unhappy with the Bengals but I still think that he would put a little bit of pressure on Kellen in terms of throwing him the damn ball. And for a young kid trying to be the leader of this Offesne, I just dont see it as a good idea for the Jets in the long run.

    If anything we should focus on getting a NT for this 3-4 Defense... Nothing against D.Robertson but the man is simply an average 4-3 DT trying to play the position and the roll of a true 3-4 NT... Which we all have see that he's not when he stays getting blown off of the LOS every other play.

    Also... We need another speed rusher from the outside and if Mangini can work some magic and bring in T.Suggs that would be the best offseason move any 3-4 Defense can make next offseason... A.Thomas going to the Pats was huge last offseason but T.Suggs will be this years offseason talk of the town. Jets need him.

    On a side note, howcome I cant see any posters post counts like on other sites?

    The pressing needs on this team right now are NT/DT, DE, LG, RT and ROLB. There are subpar players at FS, LCB, RG, LILB and LOLB.

    That's a lot of needs to get filled before we start trading for primetime receivers with iffy hands and a motormouth.

    The powers to be stopped listing post counts when a vets with high counts kept using a new posters low count to disrepect him or her instead of sticking to the topic of the post.

    We're all newbies now.

    It actually has seemed to help!

    Don't peg that one on the vets- it was the kiddies who came onboard, obsessed with nothing other than post counts, trying to up their "prestige" on the board by posting nonsense.

    I trust Coles' hands 10x more than CJ's...I trust him to help Kellen more than CJ...If you look at the numbers, Coles is much more consistent than CJ with a lesser QB and offense. No deal.

    If Cincy would do this trade I would drive Coles there and bring Chad Johnson back!

    I think Ocho Cinco would thrive in NY. He's a super-star on a small stage rigght now. NY would be great for him.

    Rarely, in the NFL, are players traded for players. In fact, I can't think of any off hand. It's always for picks and Chad Johnson gets them a 1st or 2nd.

    NT --> Draft.

    DE--->Drob

    ROLB-->BT, Terrell Suggs via FA at LOLB (or you could draft chris long in the first (6'4" 265+), back him of the line, and draft Jason Shirley early for NT)

    You can Draft a LG in round 2 or 3. Ship Vilma to Cincy and Bring in Ocho Cinco, giving you Coles,Cotchery OC, and Stuckey, brad smith.

    All you need is a dollar and a dream :rofl2:

    Amen.

    Especially, I believe NT/DE/ROLB all require 1st day talent. The Jets need as many picks as the can afford. *I'd throw the towel if I see them trading their picks away AGAIN.*

    Chad Johnson is the last thing this team needs. He's the most overrated player who doesn't know how to shut up. He's not even the best WR on his team.

    no i like coles i dont want chad, as much as i like chad johnson, i would pick coles, hes tough player and blocks better than chad. but in the other hand if the trade ever happened i wont be mad. coles never had a chance in new york to show us he can be that deep threat he has it now with clemens and his arm.
