The Twins know the Yankees are desperate, I can't speak for what other teams have in the system but I'd imagine if the Yankees don't give up Hughes, Joba and another arm I don't see the Yankees getting Johan. The Twins know there are teams that will literally give up the farm for Santana and two teams with all the young players in the world are the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers.

And to be honest I'd say the Dodgers and Dbacks have better prospects than the Yankees or Mets.

For starters Joba and Hughes are no longer prospects, Sanchez has injury questions and who knows how good Kennedy is going to be? I'll give you Tabata he looks like he is going to be good.

The Dodgers have LaRoche who played sparingly in but should be the fulltime guy for the Dodgers should they not trade for Cabrera. Clayton Kershaw might be the best prospect in minor league baseball right now. Chin Lung Hu is a gold glove MI with .300 ability (and only the MVP of the futures game). Scott Elbert is left handed stud. If you want we can include Matt Kemp and James Loney.

As for the Dbacks Justin Upton is going to be unreal, they also have Chris Carter, Carlos Gonzalez, Miguel Montero and Albetro Callaspo all rated in top 100 according to baseball america.

The team that trades for him has to be reasonably assured that they will be able to re-sign him.

The Yankees are anything but desperate. The Twins may be. Also, the Yankees, by far have the best prospects of any team who may be in the Santana sweepstakes. You need to know what the Twins are looking for and it's not pitching. I read today that you should look for Cano to be part of the deal.

Expain how the Twins are desperate? They could trade Santana at the drop of the hat. Continue with your nothing but Yankee postings but the Dodgers prospects are way better than what the Yankees have.
