Despite the Rams win, Jet's still pick 3rd. The team has many needs but McFadden gives them a home run hitter that they should not pass on.

True but he probably has too much talent for us to draft him.

Probably about as good as Chris Long can on our team.

We'll pick better than third when ManDouchBag unleashes his gameplan for the Dolphags.

If you mean by helping the offense maintain possession of the football, then yes.

Oh, he's capable of running with an offense line who makes absolutely no holes!?

I don't understand why people think that we only have one pick in this draft. Or at least they certainly make it sound that way.

  12. Yeah.

Somehow we only have one pick...and taking a Lineman who doest even fit our scheme will soleve every problem on the team.

That's what we said last offseason.. and we addressed nothing.

Wait, what? We addressed nothing? We're not going to be great in 1 year. It takes time. If Revis and Harris didn't address needs, then I'll take whatever you're smoking. They were needs and have played great. Great picks, no doubt about it. Do we still have needs? Of course. But to say that we didn't address anything is an ignorant statement in my opinion.

You have to take McFadden (or at least trade down if presented with a phenomenal offer for the pick). Here's my reasoning:

    a) He's the BPA. No question in my mind, and I think most people will agree that he's an exceptional talent.

    b) Despite RB not being our biggest need, our team is bad, and bad teams can't pass up on great talents. He instantly elevates the talent level of this team.

    c) I usually hate this rationale because I think a team shouldn't make too many moves based on their division rivals, but you know the Pats are going to have a high pick because of those idiots on the west coast. You do not want McFadden falling into their laps.

    d) We have plenty of picks and can address other needs at any other point in the draft. You can find solid players in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. The late round gems are there too, but obviously not likely. I have no problem addressing our bigger needs later in the draft.

    e) Our biggest needs are probably OL and DL. There are no great college players that meet our needs. Therefore, we wait a round or two and grab a good prospect there instead of reaching.

  16. Exactly what I have been saying since this thread started...

trade the pick, stock up on linemen

  18. B/c adding a potential franchise chaging player would be a HORRIBLE thing.

Yeah, I figured I might as well try and wrap it up and end it in one post but we're definitely on the same wavelength here haha.

  20. Yeah....It frustrates me when others think that not taking your top need in the 1st round is suicide for the franchise.
