there is no "perfect" draft we are in november for crying out loud give it a break. Players stocks go up and down so drastically its stupid to even think of specific players to pick up. but if i was the gm for draft day this is what id do if we continued to play poorly for the rest of the season i would...... 1a trade our top 10 pick for something mid range to lower first round pick picking up the best rt available. 1b/2a. with the complimentary pick i would take the best pass rushing lb/de in the draft. (mainly because we never have any pressure. 2b since there isnt a touted standout nt i say we reach for someone with the 3rd pick in the draft at nt.( our 2nd rounder) depending upon what mangini feels about vilma playing in the 3-4 with a better nt will determine whether we trade vilma or pick up a mlb in the draft. 3. I would take a shot at a project cb someone that could be great just needs development. Revis is going to be great no doubt about it in my mind and for now we have dyson poteat and miler filling in on the otherside hopefully we can use them until this cornerback steps his game up. 4. The rest of the way is to fill up luxury positions draft a backup qb incase kellen isnt that great after all. maybe take a look at a fs, te, wr In my opinion we have 3 problems on our team. 1. dline. All we need is a nt move drob to de with a good nt would give u 3 solid des rotating with coleman, robertson, and ellis. 2. Oline. we currently have 2 young o lineman who are going to be studs for a while. Brandon moore isnt half bad and im sure we can find someone to play the lg. So If we drafted a top notch rt we would have a solid o line to protect our future qb. 3. Pass rushing. All we need is a pass rushing olb. I'm not against bryan thomas but hobson cant play olb. chances are we move him to mlb with harris and barton having them rotate. hobson can give the rookie pass rusher and thomas breathers. I didnt take into consideration our trade bait. pennington-we will prob end up trading him for a draft pick so imo i think we should go with another try at fs wr or te. vilma- I have been wondering where he could go, but the one crazy thing that comes to my mind is chad johnson in green. Cincinattis defense sucks and rumors are chad could be out. Would Vilma be enough? I believe that this draft can turn our team around drastically. The one neccessary component that would have to work out for us is a nt.
This is just as stupid as those you are complaining about. I stopped reading when you said trade down and then take the best LB/DE pass rusher in the draft. Obviously that person will be taken in the top 5.
