89 is a good target, but a long way from being a #1

coles went verbal just like kendall so his complaint about camp is not acceptable! i also dont see teams offering us good compensation for coles either. he will be here until he is done, by injury or release.

Thanks guys, those are just some more reasons why I would take LC over any of them.

There's a reason Coles was voted team MVP by his own teammates and coaches last season.

Who else did he have to compete with for that title? The team MVP last year was Kerry Rhodes or Bryan Thomas.

Offensively, it should have been Coles -- he had a first time starter on the opposite side with Jerricho Cotchery and a tandem of garbage at running back with Barlow, Washington, and Houston. It's not hard to win Offensive MVP of a team with this kind of garbage on the roster. Coles and Cotchery are both good, I'm not calling them "garbage", but the running backs from last season were terrible.

Coles is still the best player on our offense, but that isn't saying much.

I don't agree with that, but I do think that Coles would easily be top 10 if he had a guy like Manning or Brady throwing him the ball. He doesn't though, and he probably never will. If he ever does he'll likely be the second, maybe even 3rd option by the time he gets to one of those teams.

It would be in the Jets Best Interest to get rid of Coles a year to early as opposed to a year to late. We can still get something for him so we should. The Pats and other winning programs do not sit around and wait for players to get old out of love and blind loyalty.

Me and a couple of Jets fans were taliking about coles in terms of maybe letting him sit for the remainder of the season . High ankle sprains can linger for a long time . Knowing coles he wants to play. Maybe thats not a good idea thinking towards next year!

I am not sure if Coles is married or not, but it would appear he has a significant other...LOL

Moss had more yards and the same amount of TD's as Coles the last two years as Coles did the last two years and he was hurt much of last year. The difference is you think Coles last two years were great and Moss's last two years which were just as productive as Coles was looked on as terrible because for Randy Moss they were.

Coles is an excellent possession WR. Unfortunately he has now had two serious concussions in the last 10 games he has played in. It's time to think about moving him now rather than later.

While I wouldn't be sad if this happened I still think from an organizational standpoint that he should be moved now. It makes no sense to keep him here for the rebuilding if he will be done when the finished product hits the field. Why not get a draft pick and get a guy who can grow as the team grows now and be entering his prime with Clemens.
