see the problem with you is, you're biased toward Florida State -- same with Rambo towards VaTech. If Tebow is the best player, and A LOT of people think that STILL, he should win the Heisman...even if he is a Florida Gator. Dennis Dixon does look like he's the clear-cut favorite now though after dismantling Arizona State tonight. DARK HORSE: Todd Reesing of Kansas
Im not discrediting what Tebow has done (although i cant wait till geno hayes rips his head off on one of his 3 yd qb draws), but the fact is they have 3 loss's and havnt beat a highly ranked team. They lost almost all of their "big" games. Dixon has just been lights out, and IMO FWIW deserves the heisman is the voting ended today.
He's not a "joke", he's just not a Heisman contender anymore...he'll still be a heavily coveted NFL QB prospect and he'll go pretty high in the draft.
Maybe he will be the next Tim Couch, but he'll still be rich...even if he sucks. He's better than Kyle Israel.
Reaching for straws? You're the one that just compared Matt Ryan to Tim Couch. Just because you are a mod, you're trying to flip the discussion/argument all around on me. Go be a politician or something. I was kidding about the Kevin Smith thing...obviously, and you went and got your panties in a bunch. What are your reasons for Matt Ryan being like Tim Couch?
ehh, I figured I'd jokingly take a cheap shot at UCF's QB because I knew GM was a fan. I haven't followed UCF this year, so I don't really know how Isreal is playing...all I know is Ryan WILL go higher than him in the draft.
Not the point. You are a homer who can't watch things objectively. Matt Ryan and BC were always overrated, don't take cheap shots at other people's teams because you feel bad.
I don't even like Matt Ryan or BC, I just thought at the time that he'd win the Heisman...I still think he's a very good QB. Don't call me a homer when you are the one that gets overly excited when BC loses because you're a VT fan.
He has everything you look for in an NFL QB...that's why everyon is high on him. Size, Arm Strength, and he plays in a pro-system already at BC. The guys he has playing around him are mediocre, he is very good, he's just trying to do too much right now and it's causing him to make some bad throws.
I'm not excited that they lost because I am a VT fan, I am excited that they lost because I said they would lost and you thought I was being ridiculous. The fact that BC lost actually hurts me as a Virginia Tech fan which you would understand if you had any football intellect. BC losing causes our strength of schedule to decline, thereby hurting our ranking in the computer polls. Also, because BC is in the other division of the ACC, their losses in no way alter our future because it neither increases nor decreases our standings in the ACC. We still have to win the ACC championship to go to a BCS bowl regardless of if BC wins or loses.
