Not to take anything away from them because you only play whos on ur schedule... But their schedule is very weak. WVU, USF and louisville are all VERY overated. September 1 at Duke (Horrible) September 8 Maine (Horrible) September 15 Temple (") September 22 at Pittsburgh (somewhat competitive) September 29 Akron (suck) October 13 at Virginia (beat a decent wake team, their slighty above avg) October 19 Louisville (VERY overated, great O w. piss pour d) October 27 No. 10 South Florida (started hot but got exposed) November 3 Rutgers (their a strange team, depends which team shows up) November 10 at Cincinnati (same as rutgers, should be a good game next week) November 17 Syracuse (below avg) November 24 at No. 7 West Virginia (another overated team that got exposed, if this were in conn. id give it to the huskies, but in wva idk..)
You think WVU is overrated? Are you serious? Sure, they were ranked very high at the beginning of the season, but they are ranked right where they belong now. Aren't you the guy that is the Florida State homer? I bet you think FSU should be ranked in the Top 10 now that they upset Boston College in the Hurricane Noel Bowl. and Virginia is "slightly above average" -- their offense is finally starting to click...they never pull away in games, but they always find a way to win and their defense will always keep them in games. today was a VERY LUCKY win against Wake, but they still pulled it out. they are atop their ACC division, so i think it's safe to say they are better than "slightly above average". The Huskies and the Jayhawks are showing that they can play with and beat anybody -- it's time they got some respect.
If you call losing to USF when your QB gets injured and you turn the ball over 6 times and are still in the game in the 4th quarter and you've won every other game you've played this year being exposed, then by golly, WVU has been exposed.
Yes WVU is overated, all they do is run the same 3 gay option plays over and over and over again. USF exposed them for what they are, a one dementional team. And I am an FSU homer and where in my post did i say they deserve to be ranked...? FSU for some reason always play down to their oppo. and lose the games their supposed to win then vise-versa.
Well...I didn't know that football plays had a sexual orientation -- but hey, option plays must work better if they're gay, but WVU runs all over people...when Pat White is healthy.
Fact is the big east is weak and overated, and so is UCONNs schedule, that being said, you can only play whos on ur schedule, and theyv done very well other then the one loss.
Dude...the ACC is worse than the Big East. You overrate Florida State soo much. Duke, Miami, North Carolina, Maryland, and NC State are ALL bad teams. Clemson (when they're on), Boston College, Virginia, and Virginia Tech are the only teams that deserve any type of respect in the ACC. The Big East has one "bad" team with Syracuse -- sure, Louisville was very overrated at the beginning of the year, but they'll still probably make it to a bowl. Every team in the Big East, with the exception of 'Cuse and maybe Pittsburgh, should win at least six games and become bowl eligable.
LMFAO I dont even know where to begin, take off the big EASY glasses toolbag and face the facts, half your conference left because the comp. is was and still is PISS POUR. ACC > Big East
That is highly, highly laughable. The Big East was the better conference than the ACC in 2006- CLEARLY. 2007? Maybe it is closer. I can see an argument for both sides.
I don't even like the Big East...I'm a Fresno State alum. The WAC is one of the worst conferences in football, but it's best mid-major conference. I think Big East is slightly better than the ACC right now. When all of those teams left, the conference was bad, but they've turned it around. Rutgers and USF especially. UCONN is going to become a Big East contender after the success of this season.
Really the Big east and the ACC are a push. The reason why ACC fans wont accept it is b/c they have alot of programs depleting w/ a history of success (Miami, Fsu,VT, etc) while the Big east has teams inflating that dont have alot of histororical success.(Uconn, USF and Rutgers). They better get used to the Big east though. All 3 of the above mentioned teams are VERY young. Heck Uconn only has 3 seniors out of 22 starters, Louisville WILL bounce back and WVU is here to stay.
They are similar. But here are a few differences 1. That rutgers team had alot of veterans...this Uconn team has only 3 seniors...none of which are considered the true playmakers 2. Rutgers has gotten a ton of high quality and highly rated NJ recruits. uconn is doing this w/ under the radar guys who may have had high talent coming out..but didnt take part in the gimmick Nike combines which showcase them for the star systems. 3. Rutgers has been division 1A for a much longer period. This Uconn program was basically built from scratch.
Uconn just got a big time committ in Jimmy Bennett as well(Recruited by PSU, VT, WV,BC and at one time Michigan) 6'8 280 lb monster OT.
