Big Ben - Baltimore Derek Anderson - Seattle Who should I flex - Gore - Hurt? Dallas Clark (NE) Bobby Engram (CLE) Ryan Grant (GB-RB, provided I get him off waivers) (KC)
Anderson has the better match-up and better fantasy record. Go with him. I'd flex Clark. I'm starting anyone involved in that game. I might even start Kevin Faulk.
I've got Anquan Boldin (@ Tampa Bay) on the bench. Should I start him over any of the following: Jerricho Cotchery vs. Washington Calvin Johnson vs. Denver Santonio Holmes vs. Baltimore Tempted to sit Cotchery, anticipating early struggles by Clemens. Thoughts? BTW thanks guys for the help in this thread. Much appreciated.
Calvin Johnson and Holmes have favorable matchups. To think, one would be saying "favorable" when refering to Denver and Baltimore's secondary. In reality, they have been getting burned all season. So leave them, Cotch will take the #1 slot if Coles doesn't play this week, he'll catch passes nevertheless. However, Boldin, healthy is too good to sit in favor of Cotch.
need a flex starter, ppr-league greg jennings (@KC) Rudi (@Buf) maroney (@Indy) evans (Cin)or norwood (9ers) should i even bench roy williams and play jennings and evans?
Don't bench Roy Williams. I'd start Maroney. I would start anyone involved in the NE/Indy game. After him, Evans.
OK. I need an RB2 to start and I traded everyone good away. I have to choose between (brace yourselves for some awful options): DeAnge Williams Jerious Norwood I also have that Wright guy on Cleveland and I could pick up Fargas, but don't really want to. I'm leaning towards Norwood. Thoughts?
I dropped Wright for Fargas. Fargas will get a substantial increase in touches in the coming weeks. Start him over your guys.
maroney disapointed me during the last few weeks and he doesn?t catch passes, i don?t feel good starting him. and remeber, it?s a ppr and evans and jennings had big games last week. don?t you think i should start one of those? i?d go with norwood, at least you can hope, that he runs one home and scores 10+ points on one play. after that fargas. starting backup-RB against Titans run-d isn?t a good idea and latest news out of cleveland is, that Lewis will get the full workload, so i wouldn?t consider starting one of them. isn?t chris henry or Ryan Grant available?
No. This is a deep, 12-team league. Guys like that get snagged immediately. I'm still not sold on Fargas (picking him up, let alone starting him). The Raiders never score points, rushing or otherwise. And he's part of a 3-headed run attack.
On Fargas: "According to the Contra Costa Times, the Raiders planned to use Justin Fargas on Sunday against the Titans, and it wasn't because LaMont Jordan struggled. Jordan rushed for only 16 yards on 12 carries. Coach Lane Kiffin leaned upon Fargas just as much as he did Jordan. Fargas finished with 61 yards on 12 carries. "That was the plan coming in," Kiffin said. "We were going to play Justin more, and I like what Justin brings. He hadn't had many opportunities as of late. We wanted to give him a shot, and he responded." "Fargas should be worth adding at this point with the Raiders falling out of favor with Dominic Rhodes. Think of Fargas as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy RB vs. Houston in Week 9." Oak = 2 backs, which, as of now CAR and ATL do a 2 back set as well. Once ATL comes to their senses and allows Norwood to premier he will have a good fantasy impact.
I would sit Holmes. Boldin (monster) Cotchery (no. 1 with Coles out) CJ (seems to find the end zone) Holmes (meh)
In my league we start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, D, K I have Peyton, Peterson (the good one), Fitzgerald, Braylon, Cowboys, and Vinatieri I'm trying to decide between Marshawn Lynch and LenDale White for that last RB spot. Any help?
