Rich Cimini is a douche bag. Anyone that takes that crap he printed about the Revis contract serious is dumber than he is. Yes Revis playing 35% of the snaps "voided" the last two years of the contract. However the Jets can buy back year 5 for 5 million and year 6 for 11 million. It is at the clubs discretion, not the other way around. So if Revis is as good as advertised and becomes a lock down corner the Jets have to pay him 16 for the last 2 years of the contract. That is almost a bargain considereing what Nate Clemens signed for and the fact that the salary cap has been going up every single year. However, if Revis is mediocre and or sucks they can get rid of him after 4 years no harm no foul. This has been out in the open since the contract was signed. So what has the daily news or more specifically Cimini learned? Jack Shit! He is just being disingenuous to stir the pot! Just like he did with that stupid article earlier this year taking Peter King out of context and stirring shit. It is still a 6 year contract by any stretch, it was structured a little bit different than normal. In conclusion, it was an f-ing stupid article, written by a half wit beat writer and any one that takes that garbage serious is a half wit themselves.

The problem with Jet fans is that they need to win now. Everyone expects to die tomorrow never having seen a SB championship. The same a-holes crying about Mangini were the same ones swooning over an easy schedule record, last year. They don't want it done right, they want it done right now.

I don't read Mark Canny for the NY Post. I don't read him. Haven't in a long time. But I'm not going to come on here and blast the guy. What's the point? I read that Revis' contract is now a four-year deal....it was true so what's your beef with Cimini?
Yes I'm Rich Cimini. Look at my avatar. Cimini in the flesh. I just find it odd how reporters bear the brunt of the posters here. What's his agenda. Seriously, I could care less about any of the reporters and there lives or how people view them. I just find it hard to believe we went from a Jets situation into how Cimini sucks. I've been a true Mangini suck up in the mold of Junc sucking up to Herm and Chad. Even I admit that the way he treats the press makes me second guess him?a little?maybe? Really smart, accomplished people who are at the top of their profession usually have a good sense of humor and know how to be cooperative without giving away the store and usually have a sense of humor. Parcells never gave the press much but he had a personality and a sense of humor. I give BB a pass because I look at him as a kind of idiot savant, the "rain man" of NFL coaches, but Mangini has to loosen up a bit, his dealings with the press are over the top and ultimately will be counter productive.
The only thing I don't like is there's never anything to read. I don't care how he goes about his business, but I would like to read about my favorite team.

I have a slightly different take on Belichik. I think he's a brilliant football mind connected to no people skills at all. He got lucky and something clicked that made the Pats into a powerhouse and put all the focus on the first half of the equation while reducing the second half to insignificance. He could just as easily have gone 5-11 3 times in a row and out in Foxboro.
