Grady Jackson could be the answer at NT for us. He's 350lbs and could greatly improve our DL. Do you think we should sign him, or at least take a look?

Hmmm, well he can't hurt. But there must be more of an explanation to why he was cut in the middle of the season.

I said no, but only because its a little late now to try filling holes on the Titanic. Maybe if he's still there in the offseason, lets take a look at him.

He's 30+, had a lawsuit against the current team settled in the offseason and the Falcons are 1-6.

I'm not surprised by the release at all. And yes, the Jets should bring him in for a look-see unless there's some hidden flaw that's common knowledge in the profession.

Oh yeah sign his ass up quick! He would be great for a young NT to learn under (even though he would be strictly a backup). Him, Sam Adams and Ted Washington are the quintessential NT and have been for the last decade. Get him in here.

Absolutely. This man is amongst the league's best at something that our defense is collectively amongst the leagues worst.

We could always sign him now in hopes for a better season next year. Then instead of drafting a NT with the top pick maybe we could grab a pass rushing LB with that pick. We need a Demarcus Ware or a Shawn Merriman type player in our defense.

Holy shit...this is like a gift from god...I think we have enough saints on the team, it's time for some sinners...especially if said sinner fills the biggest hole on the D! Don't fczk this one up, Eric!

Ted Washington will be 40 next year and played at a high level into his late 30s.

I really want to see this guy signed. Even if he's not a long term answer I'd love to know what happens when we plug a big guy in the middle of this line. It certainly can't get any worse..

At the very least this could tell us what effect would having a big NT could do for our defense

At the very least try it to see if it works. Move Robertson into the DE rotation in the meantime.
