With the Colts soundly beating the Jags tonight, it's looking more and more likely that Indy and New England will end up squaring off both undefeated, as this was probably the biggest test for either team until that game....

Now, I have never really liked Peyton Manning, but with the Jets season in shambles, the Dolphins winless (making it unnecessary to focus my energy on their demise) and the Patriots rolling and being sucked off by every sports writer in the country, I'm finding myself rooting HARD for the Colts to repeat this season....

The praise New England gets despite spygate, Harrison's HGH suspension, running up the score, seemingly flipping the bird to the NFL, and being some of the biggest trash-talkers in the league completely disgusts me....

As far as good teams go, Indy seems like the antithesis of New England....

So I don't know about you guys, but for me, the Colts are my beacon of hope in the NFL in 2007.... What about you guys?

To me, the Colts are the best team in the league. I haven't seen anything this season that would make me change my mind.

The Colts are great. They are going to beat us squarely. Props to them... they are going to win back to back.

Truth be told, the Pats and Indy will be playing each other in the AFC championship game, so does the upcoming matchup really matter?

I've always felt that Manning got way too much criticism for his supposed inability to win the big games, so I was happy when the Colts won it last year. I guess I would prefer to see them win it again over the Pats, since the Pats are the #1 rival of the Jets, but (unlike many here) I don't despise the Pats, so I'm not going to lose sleep over it one way or the other. A team I do despise is the vastly overrated, terminally obnoxious, undefeated 1972 Dolphins, so I will say without any hesitation that I hope that the winner of the Colts-Pats regular season game goes undefeated and wins the Super Bowl, just to shut those jerks up forever.

This is true, but this year, the Pats and Colts are more alike than different. I think the elements will have about an equal effect on both teams...moreso than in years past, anyway.

As a point of order...if the Pats or Colts break this record, Shula and the rest of them would MUCH prefer it be the Colts rather than the Pats. Shula HATES the Patriots.

While I don't really like the Colts, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so go Colts!

It's not like the Colts are doing me any favors by beating the Patriots. It's not like the Colts are going to win the Super Bowl for Jet fans.

That would be great if they were. I could see Manning giving his speech at the end. "This is for you, New York Jets Fans! There is no place in this League for convicted Cheaters . . . AS long as I'm around I'll keep the Lomabrdi trophy from being tainted ever again!"

I really hope the Colts ruin the Patriots perfect season hopes. Scary to be rooting for Manning again, but he did stop the Patriots last season, so...
