Just thinking about it. Joe Torre has nurtured Derek Jeter for 12 years, I assume, teaching him professionalism, dignity, and the ways of a professional athelete in NYC over the last 12 years. Where is the captain of the Yankees now? I have heard others outside the organization herald Joe as so very important to the Yankees, eg., Francona, Ortiz, besides inside the Yankees, Rivera, Posada, Damon, Pettite. Why the silence? Is he just sucking up to the Steinbrenners for his next contract?

Jeter is too busy double teaming hookers in Miami.

Keep your head buried in the sand. You may not taste fillet mignon, but the worms will start to taste good after awhile.

Find one racist remark I have ever made, on this board, or elsewhere, and I will make a $1,000 contribution to your favorite charity on behalf of GangGreen, and if you can't find one, you make a $100 contribution to your favorite charity on behalf of GangGreen? OK big fella?

I know what you've said in the past and took some major heat from fellow board members...But I was wrong for going that route, I will just not comment anymore in this thread to make it easy.

Hahaha...It'd just be better if I just stay quiet on that. I know what you've said, and i'll leave it at that. No need to get more into this. Although, apparently it has struck a nerve on you...My bad.

OK, lets cool it. If I recall, I thought you were being racists for the Lasting Milledge rap song remarks you made, and I defended Lastings, and you said I did not understand rap, yada, yada, yada. Agreed, that was a misunderstanding. And if I recall, Alio, stepped in, and said we were each misunderstanding each other. No problem here.

wtf? is he supposed to call your house everytime he has a thought? Why don't you people pay more attention to your shit franchise that will likely not win a championship in your life time and stop trying to cover the shame with looking for asshole reasons to bash the yankees.

Come on man, its sports. Isn't it about harping? As a baseball fan, I love Joe Torre and Derek Jeter.

I'm sure he's pissed. But what's he going to do? It's not his job to create disharmony among the players. That's Randy Levine's job.

Who the hell does Levine think he is anyway? "Team President" my ass.

I've barely heard this guy talk until recently...

After the postseason they both had they might need somebody to defend them.

I agree with the Yankee fans on this... Jeter is no FA. He doesn't need to say anything. He's the team captain; I don't see how that makes him responsible for what the decisions the front office makes. It's not his job.
