We were playing the eagles? They did give up 12 sacks to the Giants, didn't they? Even with his good game Westbrook still ran for 120 yards and a lot of it was right past him.

well everyone is do a good game, whether in position or out of it. Also we played a lot of 4-3 compared to a 3-4.

I still think D-rob has a place on the team, no way for the same money but it's not like we have an upgrade on our roster... time to grab a big NT and move d-rob into the end rotation.

Philly had 151 yards rushing and averaged 5.4 yards a rush. No way in hell that D-Rob had a good day in the middle of that mess. The NT's job is to anchor the rush D and allow the two linebackers behind him to shut it down. F on that on Sunday D-Rob...

I already answered this in one of your other threads.... Robertson was very visible when we went into the Nickel, on mainly passes and draw plays.... That was because we were working with a 4-man front, and the Eagles tried, time after time, to block him with just one offensive lineman...

Robertson, pass rushing vs one offensive lineman, is very, very good.....

As a NT though, he simply can't occupy multiple OL long enough to be effective and keep them off of the ILBs.....

  8. He was horrid against the run at NT.

I dunno whats happend to him. He was starting to make strides at NT the second half of last year...and still occassionally has his moments. But he doesnt have the body or playing style to be playing the spot as a starter and his body is starting to give.

It's no coincidence that he played very well in the 4 man fronts. Mangini however..will pretend this notion doesnt exist.

He'll probably blame it on lack of execution....

The number one rule, for any good coach is NEVER assume responsibility for failures on or off the field... Then, you'll be perceived as weak.. [/sarcasm]

The guy makes a few good pass-rush plays in 4-3 sets and suddenly people love D-Rob again. As has been stated above he was still useless against the rush and once again totally ineffective in the 3-4 sets. What we have here is a 4-3 pass-rush specialist and until we can shed this ridiculously overpaid player that's how we should play him, in a part-time position.
