at 3-3 edwards is enjoying the "default" kind of success that, IMO, he also enjoyed here in NY.

That's the only reason I might miss Herm...

Mangini, clock management aside, seems like a Herm Edwards clone during the games this season... A huge contrast to last season....

If we're going be coached so conservatively, we may as well have a guy whose press conferences are entertaining, and who gets the team fired up to play every week....

Not one single bit! No matter what happens with Mangini Herm was never going to take us any farther than he already had. Add to that his ability to throw ANYONE and EVERYONE under the bus...and the fact that he bailed on us and conspired to leave before his last season began ---

---and his phony HOLIER THAN THOUGH ATTITUDE...

I don't miss him one bit...and never will!

I miss when #1 Jets Fan would get drunk and post fake stories about owning a bar.

Why would I want to hit you? I'm not an innately violent person.

What stats are those? Please provide a link, I'de love to see it. We played 4 (3 actually, we played NE twice) teams with a winning record so what you are saying is the other 12 were really good but just couldn't win games?

I miss Walt Michaels and the Sack Exchange, and head-hunting linebackers like Buttle, Blinka and Mehl and Safeties that actually intercepted passes and returned them for touchdowns like Darrol Ray and Ken Schroy.

I miss the Block Exchange and watching Freeman slide around behind the line before gashing a hole in the defense. I miss lunchpail backs like Dierking and Augustiniak.

I miss Richard Todd's big, erratic, exciting arm.

There are two ways of getting you're heart ripped out...I prefer the quick, shocking variety to getting cut up with a dull spoon like these guys are doing.

Well put. I had season tickets in those days and it was actually fun to go to games then, although I actually liked watching O'Brien more then Todd.

Great post! Football should be fun and it's about big plays that are exciting. This team is playing scared on both sides of the line. We need a big play QB who can strike and put points on the board and we need the D to relax and attack knowing a mistake can be made up by a quick strike O.

It's the WILL, not the SKILL! Hey, this season, we have neither.
